About Chloe
Expert Analysis
Brandon Fisher | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Chloe continues to impress while playing up with Colorado Hoopsters 17U and competing successfully against older talent with a polished offensive skill set. She gets great elevation on her jumper, finishes craftily around the basket, and consistently creates offense both for herself and others with the ball in her hands. Her ability to balance scoring and playmaking has made her one of the more intriguing guards in the region/country, and she now holds a long list of P4 offers with Oklahoma, Baylor, and Alabama all extending offers since the April evaluation period.

Chloe showed a lot of patience offensively this weekend never forcing the action when it wasn’t there. There were multiple moments where she could have attacked one-on-one but instead she used the space to create open looks for teammates. She was also efficient from three-point range, knocking down looks while being dynamic in transition.

Chloe Cain Chloe Cain 5'8" | SG Tbd | 2028 CO is the freshman to remember from this season. She has no problem making defenders who don’t step up, pay the price. This narrative has been constant all season and was on full display against legend, contributing 13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals to lead the Cougars to victory. Cain’s strongest aspect to her game is her lethal range from downtown, converting 75% of her looks from distance in this matchup. Expect the all-pro freshman to set the hardwood on fire in the Final Four.

Cain stands out as the top freshman in the state, commanding attention every time she steps on the court. Her presence warps defenses, creating space for teammates as opponents scramble to contain her. With explosive athleticism, she slashes to the rim at will, and her reliable three-point shot keeps defenders guessing. If defenders sag off, they’ll watch her bury a three. If they close out too hard, she’ll beat them off the dribble and take it to the basket. Cain’s instincts and basketball IQ make her the engine driving Cherokee Trail’s title hopes.

Anytime her team needed to run, Chloe answered the call by flying the floor in transition for easy looks at the rim. She stayed aggressive against opposing guards in the half court, creating steals and deflections that fueled momentum. On top of that, she consistently delivered the ball to teammates in scoring spots when the defense collapsed.

proved oncemore why she’s the best player in her class against Eaglecrest. Dropping a sizzling 27 points while shooting 50% from three and 53% from the field as a freshman is mind-boggling. Not to mention her whopping 3 blocks, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists to pair with the scoring domination. Cain has transformed into one of the states biggest all-around threats, and she still has three more years in high school to fine tune her craft even more.

has come up huge as only a freshman, being a pest on defense and not giving her assignment any room to operate. Leading her team in steals (3.7 SPG) and blocks (1.2 BPG) while adding 4.2 APG proves that the biggest impact isn’t always made through scoring. This past AAU season, Cain looked poised and confident, bringing the ball up with her head on a swivel. It’s safe to say she’s the best guard in the freshman class, and it will be something special to see her development and growth over the next few years.

You can argue she’s the best underclassman in the conference, and she continues to back that up on the floor. She can score in bunches from all over the court while also defending multiple positions at a high level. On top of that, she makes others better with her ability to create and play within the flow of the offense.

The freshman guard had it rolling all weekend long, especially in transition where she was tough to slow down. She could stop on a dime to knock down the three, use her handle to get by defenders, or finish creatively at the rim. Mixing in her floater made her even harder to read and guard.
