I liked what I saw from Lexie today. She was able to beat defenders off the dribble with her ball-handling skills and quickness. She found gaps in the defense to attack, showing she can turn the corner and get to the rim. Lexie also displayed good lateral quickness on the defensive end, sliding her feet well and keeping the ball in front of her.

Lexie was electric from start to finish and made her presence felt in every game she played. She was lights out from beyond the arc, confidently knocking down deep shots and stretching defenses with her range. What made her performance even more impressive was her ability to pick her spots, scoring efficiently not just from three, but also attacking the rim and pulling up in the midrange. On top of her scoring ability, Lexie flipped the switch defensively when needed, turning up the pressure and creating chaos for opposing ball handlers. Her ability to generate turnovers and convert them into offense made her one of the most impactful players of the weekend.

Lexie applied immense ball pressure at the perimeter and showed her shooting touch by knocking down a three from the wing. She has remarkable handles and quickness, allowing her to get past defenders and create scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates off the dribble. Lexie also brings strong leadership qualities, she communicates effectively and helps keep her team stay organized on both ends of the floor.

Lexie is quietly putting together an impressive freshman campaign, averaging 17.2 points per game. She is known to put up eye-popping offensive numbers, but she is also solid on defense, and a very unselfish player who is willing to pass the ball and get her teammates involved. Breathitt County is on a 5-game winning streak and Lexie has carried the scoring load through this stretch dropping 20 points or more in four of the five games. (Featured Image)

takes the 6th spot. Lexie has a pure shooting touch from the mid-range and from three. She is a really good ball handler and facilitator that knows how to find open teammates for quality shots. Lexie averaged 14.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and had shooting splits of 38/35/66 for the Lady Cats last season. I see her numbers increasing this season.

To the eastern part of the Commonwealth. Our lists have featured plenty of products from the Kentucky Premier program and here is another. Breathitt County finished with a record of 18-12 and Combs was a major reason for that success. She averaged 14.6 points as an eighth grader in 2023-24. Combs plays the game on contact meaning she does not shy away from physicality as that can give her opportunities via the free throw line. She also can be efficient as a 3-point shooter and also excels as a rebounder. One can have her play at either the one or the two in the backcourt and she – and her team – will benefit greatly.

Lexie was one of the most impressive scorers in the camp on Saturday. She was poised all day long, rarely getting sped up or making a bad read or decision. Able to facilitate or score, Combs looks like she’s going to be a major factor in the 2028 class for a long time.
