Throughout the month of September, the state of Nebraska received a much needed Player Rankings Update. There was a total of over 200+ players added to the database throughout the four high school Classes and those lists are only going to grow. In the article below I wanted to switch it up and try out something new within the Rankings. I am going to list the top #11-15 Players in the state, regardless of their grade level. Each one of these players is a college level prospect, that has stood out on multiple stages over their career thus far.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

#15 - [player_tooltip player_id='747374' first='Izzie' last='Galligan'] - 2026 - SG - Millard North High School

At the #15 spot in our Top 15 players out of the state of Nebraska, we have [player_tooltip player_id='747374' first='Izzie' last='Galligan'] of Millard North High School. Galligan didn't play a whole lot last year on the high school floor because of her team's heavy upperclassman roster but this season is going to be different. I expect Galligan to step up and play some big minutes throughout her teams season. The best way to describe her game-style would be as a quick off-guard. She is very good at shooting the ball from deep and is never afraid of mixing it up, getting all the way to the rim off the dribble for an easier bucket. Some people may question this ranking if you are unfamiliar with Galligan's game but trust me, she is a college level player, she just needs a better sample size to be able to prove her worth and that's what she should get this winter. Now all she has to do is go out, let her game do the talking and the rest will be history.

#14 - [player_tooltip player_id='336045' first='Sarah' last='Gatwech'] - 2025 - PG/CG - Lincoln North Star High School

[player_tooltip player_id='336045' first='Sarah' last='Gatwech'] is another Guard out of this state that makes eye-opening plays throughout the games she competes in. In all of the contests that I have been in attendance for, Gatwech has 3-5 moments throughout each where she demonstrated a high level-skill move or play. A move that seems to be out of nowhere and makes everyone audibly say, "WOW", when they see it unfold. Other than that, Gatwech is lengthy at 6'0, has a quick first step going either direction, and she can score from all three levels at a high rate. As I mentioned above, she displays a plethora of skill moves each game and most importantly - she uses those moves at the correct moments to free herself or a teammate up for an easy basket. There is a lot of potential here and it's only going to grow over these next few years. If she keeps on the grind and works on the correct things moving forward, she will be competing on a collegiate court before you know it.

#13 - [player_tooltip player_id='279310' first='Peyton' last='McCabe'] - 2024 - PG - Skutt Catholic High School

I'm a big fan of [player_tooltip player_id='279310' first='Peyton' last='McCabe'] and her overall game. McCabe is a fundamental Point Guard, who can shoot the leather off of the ball. For AAU season, McCabe played out of Des Moines with All Iowa Attack EYBL and she was one of her teams three-point specialists. There was a few times throughout the season that she also brought up the ball but most of the time, with the other players they had on roster, she was moved to the off-guard position for constant catch and shoot opportunities. At Drake, she will most likely move back to that Point Guard spot for a majority of the time. This winter her high school team at Skutt Catholic is going to have one major game circled on their calendar and that is against Elkhorn North. Over the past three years, these two teams have basically only beaten each other. With both groups having powerhouse type - Senior classes, this is going to be everyone's last season facing off against one another at this level. Closing the book on a rivalry for these kids that they will never forget.

#12 - [player_tooltip player_id='770410' first='Naomi' last='White'] - 2024 - CG - Bellevue West High School

[player_tooltip player_id='770410' first='Naomi' last='White'] will be suiting up for GCU after her Senior season comes to an end but before that can happen, White will do all that she can to step up and lead her Bellevue West High School team to the State Playoff's this winter. White is an electric Guard. A high energy player, that brings a lot of positive vibes, skill, and knowledge of the game to the court when she plays. Other than the skill part of her game, White demonstrates a lot of intangibles. She works as hard on defense as she does on offense, she communicates well with the coaches/players around her, and she never gets down or looks at the negative. When you have a player like this, a coach would love them on their team no matter their skill level because of everything else they create with their positivity. Don't get it twisted, White is very skilled with the ball in her hands but it's more than that for her and I think that speaks volumes about her game as a whole.

#11 - [player_tooltip player_id='279066' first='Olivia' last='Loomis-Gotl'] - 2024 - PG - Bridgeport High School

[player_tooltip player_id='279066' first='Olivia' last='Loomis-Gotl'], a University of Northern Colorado women's basketball commit, is a versatile guard that is going to produce at the college level once she gets there. Over the past few seasons, Loomis has really made her stamp on the high school girls game. She put up big numbers in big games, she demonstrates what it means to produce without having the ball in her hands at all times, and she displayed what it is like to have a winning attitude. What I mean by that is, even when people want to get under her skin or upset her, she plays it off and competes because that's what really matters during the game, not all the extra stuff. A player like this, that loves and is dedicated to the sport, is going to succeed wherever she ended up signing. Her mixture of skill, dedication, and love of the game has gotten her this far and it lands her in our #11 spot in these rankings.
