Bridgeport High School is coming off of another season where they showed their dominance each and every night. A big reason for their success is because of Senior Guard, Olivia Loomis-Goltl Olivia Loomis-Goltl 5'10" | PG Bridgeport | 2024 State NE . Goltl has been a steady producer for this program over her past four years. She is a prospect that has a quick handle, soft touch, knowledge of what to do when, and fast feet. She is always someone that is willing to sacrifice her body without looking for praise or acknowledgement from her teammates. She just wants the prospects around to be successful. At the next level, I have a feeling that Goltl is going to be able to step into that Northern Colorado program and produce but we will have to wait and see. For now she is going to end her high school career in the #5 spot for this 2024 Class and that’s nothing to be ashamed of.

As we start to get deep into the State Playoffs, we are going to start to see more and more matchups that could be really intense. One of the most recent matchups, in which two top tier teams faced off was this past week against Bridgeport High School and Sidney High School. In a highly anticipated matchup, the Bridgeport Bulldogs beat Sidney by a final of 40-33. In this game, the player that stood out the most on both sides was Guard, Olivia Loomis-Goltl Olivia Loomis-Goltl 5'10" | PG Bridgeport | 2024 State NE . OLG is a prospect that we have talked about a few times throughout this past season for her hardworking and production on the hardwood. Well in this contest, it was much of the same. She ended the night with a game high 15 Points on 5-8 shooting, while also bringing in 13 Rebounds, passing out 2 Assists, and creating 2 Steals in the open court. In the end, this one came down to turnovers. Bridgeport forced 26 turnovers against Sidney throughout the duration of this ball game and that was all the difference in a important 7 point win.

Starting off our 2024 Player Rankings Update in our #5 spot is Olivia Loomis-Goltl Olivia Loomis-Goltl 5'10" | PG Bridgeport | 2024 State NE . Loomis-Goltl is a guard that will be attending the University of Northern Colorado once her Senior season comes to a close. So far this year, Loomis-Goltl has been fantastic. She is leading the state in scoring per game while helping her team put together a successful overall record up until this point. She has a great feel for the game and because of that, she can take advantage of her mismatches at this high school level. She is obviously skilled in several aspects and that should translate to the collegiate level when everything is said and done. She is smart enough to know that she can adapt in any situation, making it a success for herself and her teammates. I’ve seen it first-hand a few times over this past year and I don’t expect that to slow down anytime soon.

Olivia Loomis-Goltl Olivia Loomis-Goltl 5'10" | PG Bridgeport | 2024 State NE has put together a high school career to remember and at the end of this season, she will take her talents to the college level. Loomis is a 5’10-5’11 Point Guard, that is a handful to anyone trying to guard her on the basketball court. Loomis-Gotl has superior size and speed compared to most around her at her position and that fairs well for her in most 1V1 matchups. In a 2024 class that is stacked with D1 talent and commits, to make the Top 5 list is a big deal. She maybe college committed already but if she wants to keep this Top 5 Ranking throughout the high school season, she is going to have to continue her efficient production in all facets of the game. Something that is more than do-able for a player with Loomis-Golt’s skill-level.
