Today, I wanted to touch on the junior classes under the radar prospects. It’s ironic that this article falls on Thanksgiving, where we give thanks to all our loved ones and fellowship with them. Why I picked today to drop this article, because just like families, these young ladies make a big impact for the ball clubs both on the floor and off of it.
The class of ‘25 is so talented. Any given night, someone from this class has the ability to help uplift their club to victory. What I love most about this class is their ability to adapt, grind, and learn from a situation. Now, you might ask what are you talking about? If you have ever met a young lady from this class, you would then understand what I mean. How to persevere, rise above, and contribute, this class has the ball players in it that will pack a big punch and leave their mark throughout a game.
Here are some under the radar prospects that you will definitely know before it is all said and done.
Leilani Washington Leilani Washington 5'6" | CG Nolensville | 2025 State TN (5’6/CG/Nolensville)– Shifty guard who has an infectious personality. She’s a multi-level scoring threat that has speed upon speed. Yes she score it from the arc, slice through defenses, ect., but it is her defense, rebounding, and relentless energy that leaves you speechless. This kid is a grinder, who just gets after it. Her kicks must always be in sport mode because the way she plays the game is impressive. She never gives up on a play and plays until the final whistle. Great young prospect who will be a big-time addition for a college program.
Reghan Williams Reghan Williams 5'6" | PG Ezell-Harding | 2025 State TN (5’6/PG/ Ezell Harding)– Heady ball player who is impressive with the rock in her hands. She’s an effective floor general who can knock down clutch shots from the field or get paint touches. Passes the ball effectively, hitting teammates in stride or for easy buckets. She defends, getting her hands on the ball, which results in transition buckets. Hard working kid who will continue to skyrocket up the charts with her play.
Aliyah Hawkins Aliyah Hawkins 5'7" | PG Cumberland County | 2025 State TN (5’7/PG/ Cumberland Co.)– Hard working PG who can play her role and then some. A fierce competitor who can score the rock with the best of them. She can get down hill to finish or unleash her impressive shot from the arc. She’s a leader who knows how to will her team to victory. No matter the situation, she’s going to give it her best effort. Her determination is crazy good. Once she steps on the court, just know it’s going to be a dawg fight because this young lady is going to give you all she has on both ends of the floor. Look for her to continue an upwards trajectory and help her squad to new heights.
Molly Brown Molly Brown 5'8" | SG Lincoln Co. | 2025 State TN (5’8/SG/ Lincoln Co.)- Great two-way prospect that has sticky fingers. Molly is a thief when it comes to picking the pocket of opponents. She is another one of those grinders who uses her speed to inflict chaos on opponents. She lets her D do the talking, but if you make her work in the half court, she has the ability to slice through defenses, pull up from the 3 line or the elbow, or simply get down hill to finish at the rim. She’s a selfless leader who picks her spots. A hungry individual who will attract the eyes of collegiate coaches around. Tough kid who always leaves her mark on the game each and every time she steps on the floor.
Decarra Ward (6’2/C/ Bartlett)– Unsure if the time is now, but when it comes, this young lady is going to play out her mind. Baby D is a caged lion ready to be let out. Has the ability to battle in the paint, finishing around the block. On the defensive end, she’s big on the boards, block shots, plus runs the floor well in transition. She’s an encouraging individual , waiting for her time and opportunity. Blessed with great size, she’s going to carve out some minutes and contribute for a very talented Bartlett team. Just know, she may not be the best, but once she out, expect a great effort and provide a spark for her ball club.
