One of those articles being our Player Of The Week. The POTW is an individual that displayed what it means to put on a major performance/s for their perspective squad. A player can win this award for a number of reasons but most importantly because their overall play helped lead their team to a competitive contest.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Player Of The Week: Olivia Loomis-Goltl Olivia Loomis-Goltl 5'10" | PG Bridgeport | 2024 State NE
High School: Bridgeport
Class: 2024
Height / Position: 5’10 / Point Guard
Stat Line:
- vs Chadron – 12/16/23 – 31 Points
As you can see above, from their game yesterday I only have how many points Olivia Loomis-Goltl Olivia Loomis-Goltl 5'10" | PG Bridgeport | 2024 State NE scored but she has been a constant these first few weeks on the high school floor and her team has been dominating because of it. To start this season, Bridgeport High School is 7-0 and controlling their competition in every facet of the game. They have been winning by 25+ points in almost each contest and Goltl keeps putting up big time numbers in the process. Not only did she score 31 in her game yesterday against Chadron High School but she has been averaging more than 20+ PPG on the season in general and has been looking dominant as ever. If you are familiar with Goltl’s play-style, she makes the most of her opportunities and is always ready to attack her defender when the ball is rotated back to her. Defensively, she is a tyrant. Someone who sticks like glue to their opponent and slowly takes away the space in-between the two while coming down the floor. Goltl is going to have big games and massive numbers all season long. With the competition her team faces within their conference and how coordinated she is with the basketball, it’s easy to predict. She just needs to worry about the next game on their schedule each night and she will be a top ranking player throughout the state until she graduates and heads off to Northern Colorado to continue on her basketball journey. Something I’m sure she is extremely excited for.
