Thanks to everyone who always thinks to tag me in their video highlights and tweets about how they did each game. It’s great being able to keep up with everybody, even in those rare times that I’m not able to get in the gym where I belong.
I wrote about Teairra back in July and was hyped about her highlight video because of how much defense was in it. This time around I was tagged in this video which shows her bringing the ball up court and hitting a devastating floater, which probably should’ve been an “and-1.” There’s also this insanely tough finish with the whole team guarding her. So, offense isn’t an issue either, apparently. Perry is lightning quick and takes pride in her defensive prowess. She is a tremendous team player and someone you’re going to want on your roster for her personality and coachability. She won’t be outworked out there. Coaches, don’t miss out on this senior. We’re almost half way through the season and there are some more big tournaments coming up for Moore. Don’t miss your chance to see Teairra and squad in person.
The freshmen rankings are still a little ways away, but Kourtney Wright Kourtney Wright 5’10” | SG Bixby | 2027 OK has been proving herself all season and will no doubt be up near the top. She is a lights out shooter with an absolutely beautiful shooting stroke. On top of that, she does a great job of finding spots to get her shot off. She is beyond her years at feeling the game and knowing when to pull the trigger. It seems like things are really starting to slow down for her already and, for me, that is always the first sign that someone is going to be Division-I player when all is said and done. A legit three-level scorer, Kourtney is a problem for defenses. I can’t wait to see her and the Spartans when they get back from their current tournament down in Idabel.
Highlights
Katelyn tagged me in a tweet back in mid-December when she had a 25 point night against the Dover Longhorns. The highlight reel is truly magnificent. It’s clear to see why she and her sister both hit the 1,000 point mark this month. She has a beautiful jump shot, but more than that, she battles hard for everything. We see her diving on the ground for loose balls. Fighting off several opponents to get a rebound and a putback. She is a tough player who is long, tall, and strong. I hope Katelyn has a lot of scholarship offers. I don’t know, honestly. But, if not… what are we even doing? She is a tremendous player and needs to be playing somewhere come next season!
Speaking of great highlight reels, in the same game, Karlee had a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards. Also a 1,000 point scorer, Karlee can do a little bit of everything and most definitely has a dedication to defense. In fact, the first half of this highlight reel features Karlee stealing the ball and getting out in transition over and over and over. More than that, she finishes consistently at the other end. Another tremendous prospect, Karlee and Katelyn will no doubt be playing in college next season. If you miss out on this tremendous tandem, you’re going to regret it. They are unbelievable players who absolutely work their butts off.
Coral (or “Beans”) is a player that I’m very familiar with from her outstanding social media presence and also her time at our PGH showcases and camps. Her improvement over the years has been fun to watch and she clearly loves the game very much. She continues to work hard and each time I see her in person or see a video, I see something new that she has added to her bag. This time around it is a really pretty midrange. The most impressive part is that she sensed her defender moving off of her to the double-team and got in a position to score. Beans is a tall, long, strong athlete with a lot of energy who is going to outwork a lot of people out there. Keep an eye on her as she just keeps getting better and better and becomes an even better college basketball prospect.
