North Carolina has a variety of talent all across the state which is certainly fun to watch at the high school level. We have great pairs in the backcourt handling the ball, knocking down shots, and making plays for their teams. Let's take a look at some of the entertaining backcourt duos in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='397487' first='Peyton' last='Harvey'] & [player_tooltip player_id='612310' first='Julie' last='Janus'] - AC Reynolds

[player_tooltip player_id='612310' first='Julie' last='Janus'] is in her senior season continuing to lead with the same composure on the court as she always has. She can push the tempo and slow things down when needed, and she does an excellent job sliding around the perimeter to get the open look. [player_tooltip player_id='397487' first='Peyton' last='Harvey'] is constantly moving on the court handling the ball, finding open lanes for her shot, closing the trap on defense, and jumping into passing lanes. Both are three level scorers who can go up against anyone.

[player_tooltip player_id='275249' first='Kate' last='Sears'] & [player_tooltip player_id='389295' first='Charlotte' last='Torgerson'] - Watauga

This is another 2024 and 2025 duo coming from the western part of the state. [player_tooltip player_id='389295' first='Charlotte' last='Torgerson'] has been showing off her range shooting the ball from deep, and she handles the rock well creating open looks for her teammates. [player_tooltip player_id='275249' first='Kate' last='Sears'] has been showing her high IQ with her handles knowing how to create the space for herself, and she reads the floor well knowing how to get some points for her team pushing the tempo or setting up an offensive play. Both guards are willing to get inside for rebounds on both ends of the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='661043' first='McKenzie' last='Graves'] & [player_tooltip player_id='470297' first='Khloe' last='Moye'] - North Raleigh Christian

[player_tooltip player_id='661043' first='McKenzie' last='Graves'] and [player_tooltip player_id='470297' first='Khloe' last='Moye'] are both very hardworking guards who are constantly moving on offense to create plays. Graves is shifty bringing the ball up the court, and Moye knows how to slide into the openings to put up her shot. They find the perfect open lanes finishing at the rim with nice adjustments on both sides. They work together on defense, too, driving opponents to certain areas of the court setting up a trap.

[player_tooltip player_id='654835' first='Misa' last='Garris'] & Kim'mya Kelly - Garinger

[player_tooltip player_id='654835' first='Misa' last='Garris'] reads the floor well knowing when to make her move on defense to come up with the steal. She makes moves to get the defenders crash around her in order to get the nice dish to her teammates. Kim'mya Kelly (2027) attacks the basket well finishing at the rim and using her speed to score through contact on fast breaks. She's explosive with her moves getting to the basket before her defenders can recover. Both guards can certainly pull up from deep to get three points or finish a three point play from the free throw line.
