So far I have highlighted the top point guards, shooting guards and small forwards, but it is now time to focus on the crown jewels of the class, the posts. The recorded history of the posts in the 2020 class dates back to about 7th grade when it was clear as day a handful of these girls would someday be playing at the Division 1 level. Many of these players are less than a year away from making that a reality. It doesn't take someone to have coached or scouted some of the top players in the country to tell you "you can't teach size" but the old saying will never die. Some of the top players have already committed or narrowed down their list, but some schools are going to get some very good players with a good amount of potential. 6'2 F Jordyn Jenkins solidified herself as a top notch recruit this spring and summer. She is a fluid athlete with a combination of power and skill. I think she is at her best in transition and semi-transition when she can get out and run. Jenkins can operate from the high post, short corner or wing, making her a truly versatile player. Jenkins is down to five schools including Duke, Oklahoma, Cal, USC and Washington. She was most recently on a visit to Oklahoma. Jenkins looks to lead Kentridge HS to its second state title with her in the lineup. 6'4 F/C Dalayah Daniels is a long and agile forward prospect that has been oozing with potential for years. Dalayah's lean frame has filled out some, adding to her strength and she moves with more power, but the same amount of grace as she always has. An easy pick for college coaches to identify. She is a good rim protector on the defensive end and she moves her feet very well laterally. Dalayah is down to six schools with Stanford, Princeton, Duke, Oregon State, UCLA and Cal in the mix. Dalayah leads a loaded Garfield squad this winter that should be the early favorite to win it all in 3A. *Feature image 6'3 C Keeli Burton-Oliver is the strongest post prospect of the bunch. She has great hands and footwork around the paint. Keeli can operate from the low block or high post very well and she can pass the ball well over the defense. She had a dominant winter season and spring before falling to injury. Arizona State got a committment from Burton-Oliver during her junior year. She will lead the defending 4A state champs at Eastlake HS this upcoming season. 6'8 C Sela Heide suited up with Tree of Hope for her final club season, but would ultimately have to sit out the summer due to a knee injury that set her back a little bit. I expect her to still be ready for high school season and get back on the path of development that she was on this spring. Sela has great reach and covers so much space that girls are not used to seeing. Both her mom and dad played at Oregon State. Texas Tech reportedly offered a year ago, but there have been no recent updates with her recruitment. Sela told me she plans to take her time making a decision. Other Posts: 6'5 C Eliza Friend (Overlake HS) 6'2 C Ramona Jagger (Decatur HS)
