Roe’s length has been a major factor in her being a standout player in this class. Most of the impact comes from below the free throw line and from her ability to finish around or over the top of contact. She has a solid touch around the rim and doesn’t need much to get comfortable when she receives the ball. On the defensive end, that’s where the versatility kicks in. She has enough athleticism and focus to deal with players on the wing, and the length comes into play again when she’s guarding the paint. She will block, alter, and force players to hesitate. As she continues to sharpen her overall game and the confidence and ability to score beyond the mid-range, she will truly turn more heads. Time is on her side.

She creates spacing with her drives, opens passing lanes, and keeps her team’s offense in rhythm. A versatile player, she sometimes plays with youthful energy, but her strength and developing poise allow her to make a big impact on both ends of the floor. Her quick feet, long arms, and defensive awareness make her a disruptive force, turning stops into opportunities for her team.

There aren’t too many players in this class that have high tier athleticism in their veins, and that’s what Roe has used to dominate so far. As her skillset grows and expands, it wouldn’t be a shocker to see this kid gain some heavy offers within the next couple of years. High upside.

When I saw Roe this weekend, she was really working near the basket on both ends of the floor but from seeing her more and more, she is versatile with how well she moves off the ball. She can post up smaller defenders and use her power or she can step out and make things happen from the perimeter. At times this CHE team will even stick Roe at the top of their defensive pressure because of her mixture of natural instincts, athletic ability, and willingness to go for tips/steals in crucial moments. She may be a young prospect in the game but Roe is definitely a name to know.
