Sometimes you run into prospects that play bigger than their actual size. Sometimes some prospects are so strong and athletic that no matter what you do, it’s tough to stop them. That’s what we had happen with Rayven Brewer on Saturday for Chi Hoops Express 16U. Brewer was a bruiser down-low. Her team ran a bunch of sets for her to get the ball with position with her back to the basket and from there she made a bunch of buckets. She had moments where she went through contact and moments where she simply went over the defender in front of her. There is a lot to like about Brewer moving forward. If she continues to add to her overall game, watch out. She made a huge difference today and I’d expect the same thing tomorrow.
