Sayler continues to make a name for herself as a dependable and versatile scorer in Western Kansas. With a smooth shooting stroke and the ability to attack the basket, Stapleton has the tools to fill up the scoreboard in a variety of ways. She’s comfortable pulling up from mid-range, can hit the three with confidence, and isn’t afraid to mix it up inside to get tough points around the rim.

Stapleton is a rising small-school talent who averaged 13.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3 steals and 1.8 assists for the 14-10 Buffaloes. The streaky, prolific (178 attempts) three point shooter shot 30% from three and 66% from the line. She has poured in more than 600 points entering her junior year. In addition to being named to the Southern Plains Iroquois Athletic Association first team Stapleton earned 1A Div I honorable mention honors from KSHSAA and SIK. Stapleton has a solid frame and good transition speed.

Her high school rookie campaign was a good one, earning several honors. A 1A D II Sports In Kansas honorable mention selection followed her selection to the Southern Plains-Iroquois Activities Association’s honorable mention. She put up 12.9 points per game and collected 2.6 steals and 1.3 assists. Stapleton shot the three ball nearly 185 times, making 31%, and set the school record for seven makes in a game. She also hit 62% of her free throws. Dangerous beyond the arc when she heats up it will be fun to watch, after the several dozen games she played over the summer, how much stronger her game grows.
