Expert Analysis
John Kennedy | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
A long, poised guard who reads the floor well, Bixenman projects as a two-way tone-setter for the Thunderhawks. Expect more on-ball touches and secondary scoring punch alongside her rebounding and defensive length on the perimeter. With a confident pull-up and frame to switch across guard/wing matchups, she looks ready for a junior-year jump.

is making her mark as one of Northwest Kansas’ top multi-sport athletes. On the basketball court, the standout point guard averaged nearly 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game last season, earning KBCA All-State honors. She’s equally impactful in volleyball with more than 260 kills and 350 digs, and in track and field she excels in hurdles, pole vault, and jumps. Bixenman’s blend of speed, agility, and versatility from all three sports makes her one of the region’s most complete competitors.

is a standout talent who impressed this summer while playing club ball with Magic. With great length for a guard, she brings a unique skill set to the floor, able to handle the ball, knock down outside shots, and distribute with purpose. She has a nice shooting stroke making her a consistent threat from the perimeter, and she has the vision and unselfishness to rack up assists by making the right play. I had the opportunity to watch Bixenman in action this summer, and her combination of size and skill stood out every time she stepped on the court. With continued development, she’s ready for a breakout junior season at Wheatland/Grinnell. Big things are coming for this versatile guard.

, a 2027 guard from Wheatland/Grinnell, continued to show why she’s a prospect to watch at the Kansas Roots Summer Smash. Bixenman is a confident shooter with a smooth, efficient stroke and the ability to score from deep. Her range is impressive—she’s more than capable of knocking down multiple threes in a single game. What elevates her game more is her combination of length and athleticism, which allows her to impact both ends of the floor. She put on an impressive scoring display over the weekend, and as she gets more court time I expect her to be a consistent offensive threat throughout her high school career.

Natalie has impeccable court vision and sound decision making skills that enable her to see and exploit passing lanes left open by the defense. Her consistent assist numbers reflect her role as a playmaker, and her ability to lead and orchestrate the offense and ensure it runs efficiently are only a small set of skills she possesses. As a member of the Class of 2027, her development as a dynamic point guard with strong passing and defensive skills positions her as a promising talent in Kansas high school basketball.
