In this article, we talk about some of the players who we haven't mentioned this season. Some of these are players who are well known and some of these players are brand new on the scene. Each have made an impression in the first month of the Grassroots season.

[player_tooltip player_id='514625' first='Sophia' last='Scibelli'] has played well this travel season and that's no surprise. Scibnelli can score at all levels and is a natural leader on the floor. In addition, to getting her own shots, Scibelli can get out in transition and distriubute the ball to open teammates. When not dishing the assist, Scibelli can also get to the rim for the score. If offense is not enough, the young guard gets after it on the defensive end as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='743362' first='Lavin' last='Savage'] had some really good moments at Wesley Chapel, showcasing the skills that make her a special player. Savage has speed and she makes it hrard for a defender to stay in front of her. She has speed and quickness and has the ability to get to the rim. She usues that same speed on the defensive end to apply pressure on the ball. Savage also does well in the passing lanes and gets steals as a result. This past season, Savage was a "beast" on the defensive end, averaging 6.2 steals per game. Savage also averaged nearly 13 points per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='248553' first='Kendall' last='Kane'] has been balling and had a great tournament this last weekend. Kane is a versatile offensive player who can shoot the midrange, can shoot the step back jumper, and can drive to the rim. Her bread and butter offensive tool is the three point shot. Kane shoots the three at a 40 percent rate. Defensively, Kane can defend on the wing and has the size to cover power forwards down on the post.

[player_tooltip player_id='430252' first='Phantasia' last='Lauriston'] closed out April playing well and continued to show a lot of versatility to her game. Lauriston can handle the ball, has good change of direction with the crossover and the use of the spin move. Lauriston can shoot the midrange shot, and she can get to the rim and score. She is crafty and a lot of her shots are executed with a degree of difficulty and with either hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='221599' first='Caelyn' last='Carter'] has played well during the AAU season. The Freshman sniper played well at Southern Jam with some nice three point shots, assists, and some quality production throughout the tournament. Carter followed that up with an 18 point output this past weekend during the college live period. Carter is a rising star and even her high school teammates knew it then. In crucial moments of some games this past season, Carter was one of the main options. She has played well and is poised for a strong finish this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='738971' first='Gabi' last='Iturralde'] is another sleeper guard this season. Iturralde has played well in spurts and is making the adjustment to her new AAU squad. The young guard is an aggressive penetrating guard who can score at the rim and can score from behind the line as well. Iturralde hadndles the ball, runs the offense, and plays solid defense. She is under the radar, but the talent is undeniable. She was one of the top Freshman guards on the entire First Coast.

[player_tooltip player_id='514674' first='Grace' last='Griffis'] turned some heads with her play at Southern Jams. Griffis drove to the rim and played good defense. It was her basketball IQ that stood out the most. A college coach watched her play for a minute and commented on her decision making and basket ball instincts.

[player_tooltip player_id='897274' first='Bryonna' last='Grimes'] showed some good things on the floor. Grimes' competitive nature stands out first and foremost. She is a player that will compete til the end. Her play on the court was also impressive at Southern Jams. Grimes did a good job of driving the ball and getting inside the paint for the short jumper and floater. Grimes can also shoot the three point shot and thus, checks the box of a three-level scorer. Grimes also had good size and can play multiple positions and take the physical contact. she did a good job of handling jhthe ball and playig at ghe point guard position.
