About Rylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to do all things on the court. I really love to play defense. It's so much fun to lock up another girl and see how frustrated they get. I also, really love attacking the basket. I'm developing my game playing off two feet.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love to work when nobody is watching. I put in hours and hours in the gym. It's my stress relief and I love working on new skills. I try to stay level headed but I am SUPER competitive.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Vikette Soccer Club, Vikette Volleyball Club, FFA, Choir, I volunteer at the Parks & Rec Department. I have recieved the Presidental Academic Excellence Award twice.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've learned as both a leader and a teammate that communication is the most important part to a strong team. I've learned that to lead I need to be a great communicator but on the other side of that I need to listen to hear what my teammates are saying. Through some of my volunteer work I have learned how important being part of a community is.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge I think I have faced is helping to take care of my sister. She was born with a rare metobolic condition, and watching my parents make sure her diet is followed. It's has also been a thing I have had to learn how to take care of her as well.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm open to any college or university at this point.

The high school change that Rylee Boggess Rylee Boggess Rylee Boggess 5'8" | CG/PG Marion | 2028 State IA is making this Winter will be an impactful one but prior to that action happening, she is going to look to make some waves during these next few weeks with her Team Iowa AAU program. Boggess plays a simple game but it’s efficient. She doesn’t do too much to stand out in a negative way, instead she lets the game come to her and takes what the defense is looking to give her in real time. She can also create some action in small spaces with limited time on the clock at the end of possessions. This is a nice trait to have and college coaches will take notice in that. Boggess still has a long way to go throughout high school but she is definitely a name to jot down for the next level at some point in the near future.
