Rylee Boggess Rylee Boggess 5'8" | SG/PG Marion | 2028 State IA had one of the best games of her sophomore season last night. With a Marion starter in early foul trouble, Boggess slotted into the lineup and immediately influenced the game. She brought a spark offensively with a strong pick and roll finish and continued to bring energy with her effort on the offensive boards. Boggess looked controlled and confident after two putback buckets (including an and-1) in the fourth quarter to bring some momentum to Marion’s side. She also showed patience with the ball — she probed with her dribble and when she wasn’t cut off, she took advantage with strong downhill finishes at the rim.

The high school change that Rylee Boggess Rylee Boggess 5'8" | SG/PG Marion | 2028 State IA is making this Winter will be an impactful one but prior to that action happening, she is going to look to make some waves during these next few weeks with her Team Iowa AAU program. Boggess plays a simple game but it’s efficient. She doesn’t do too much to stand out in a negative way, instead she lets the game come to her and takes what the defense is looking to give her in real time. She can also create some action in small spaces with limited time on the clock at the end of possessions. This is a nice trait to have and college coaches will take notice in that. Boggess still has a long way to go throughout high school but she is definitely a name to jot down for the next level at some point in the near future.

Another young prospect, that should have a delightful AAU season with her Team Iowa program is CG/PG, Rylee Boggess Rylee Boggess 5'8" | SG/PG Marion | 2028 State IA of Vinton Shellburg High School. Boggess has been getting better and better as the high school season has been going on. Not only does the film prove that but the numbers do as well. As recent as last week. Boggess recorded a double-double for her VS program. This is only the start to things. I think over the next 3.5 years that this is someone who could make strides in the right situations. Now it’s all about staying locked in.

“Love what I am seeing out of Rylee Boggess of Vinton-Shellsburg High School during today’s skill session and even during 5v5 competitive play. Vinton-Shellsburg will have some killers returning this Winter at the Varsity level but they also need to prepare for their future and I think Boggess is going to be someone they look to. She is coordinated with respectable size at 5’7-5’8 and she is definitely a positive influence out on the court, communication-wise and skill-wise. As long as she stays locked in, I’m sure she will be someone we hear more about these next few months.”
