Alyssa was a huge factor in Holy Cross’s success last season with her deadly consistent shooting from deep! She knocked down 63 threes at 36.4% and will be the leading returning scorer for the Lady Indians! Alyssa also shot over 70% at the free throw line and helped lead her team to yet another 35th District championship game! This season she will look to bring that trophy home again!

Arlinghaus is a common last name for good basketball players in northern Kentucky. Alyssa is no different and is ready for a breakout Junior season after being a secondary scoring option the last two seasons. A good scorer from all over the court, Alyssa has been more of a facilitator than a score-first player until now. For Holy Cross to be competitive in the 9th region, Arlinghaus will have to create more scoring opportunities for herself and assert herself at times.

LGR EYCL-McBride vs Always 100 2027 3SSB
Alyssa got it going early, making a good basket cut to score the first bucket for LGR. She ripped down a rebound then got downhill, for the ‘and-one’. Alyssa was feeling it from the outside and hit two corner-pocket threes. She also got a steal and turned it into points, followed by a pretty behind-the-back move, breaking the press by herself.

has been a major piece of the puzzle, averaging 10.8 points a game for the Indians. Alyssa has a calm, cool, and collected approach. She plays with poise and doesn’t let defenders speed her up very often; the type of PG that stays levelheaded and makes the right decisions with the ball. Alyssa has the total package. She can score at all three levels, facilitate the rock, and has proven to be a reliable defender. Her ability to contribute across the board will be key for keeping her team in the win column.

Alyssa has good size and length for a lead guard. She brought energy to the floor and was very active on the defensive end against Kentucky Premier . She hit a three from the wing to start the 3rd quarter. Got a steal and scored the other way in the 4th quarter, followed by a pretty pump fake one dribble pull-up jumper from the mid-range to bring her team within 4 points.

did a good job in her role last season and is likely to see a big increase in playing time and opportunity as a Sophomore. Alyssa has good size at the guard spot and is comfortable creating offense all over the court in addition to being a willing defender.
