Piper played well in a hard-fought win during the 2 PM game on Sunday. She attacked the rim effectively going left and kept the offense flowing by moving the ball and making sure everyone was involved. Despite being a smaller guard, Piper plays fearless! Skying for rebounds, boxing out on every shot, and embracing physicality. She’s athletic, a skilled passer and ball handler, and makes smart decisions that impact the game in many ways.

Piper led the way for LGR against Kentucky Premier . She knocked down a trey ball from the wing then came right back and finished with a nice floater in the lane, scoring the first 5 points for her team. She then hit two more from long distance in the second half, finishing with four 3-pointers in the game. Piper can flat out shoot it and has unlimited range.

Piper made an impact as soon as she entered the game against SMAC Elite. She already has reputation as a deadly outside shooter but in this game she attacked the basket, finished well through contact and had a tough “and-1” bucket. She also made precise passes on the fast break and rewarded teammates for running the floor.

This fantastic freshman is currently averaging 22.5 PPG in 8 games played so far this season, and in the 3rd week of the season she scored a career-high 40 points at the historic Wayland Gymnasium in the Mountain Sports Hall of Fame. She is a 3-point specialist, crafty finisher at the rim, and a scrappy defender that brings passion and energy to floor.
