"Jot Them Down" is a new series of articles that I will be trying out for the 2026 Class. This series is focused on covering athletes at each specific position from both the states of Iowa and Nebraska, that collegiate recruiters should take a look at prior to their Junior season of high school ball this upcoming Winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'] is going to be a prospect we talk about several times this upcoming season because of her production with her Nodaway Valley High School team. Eisbach is a skilled guard, that can run both the PG and SG position for her squad but she is naturally a Shooting Guard when she has the choice. This upcoming season, the Wolverines lose one of their main producers from the past four seasons due to graduation so if this group is going to put up big offensive numbers, it's going to be on the back of Eisbach. This AAU season she has been competing with [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] out of Des Moines on their 10th grade EYCL team and putting forth a good effort. She is looking to finish off the month of July with a bang, carrying that momentum into showcase season this Fall.

Being completely transparent, [player_tooltip player_id='863122' first='Bre' last='VanDenTop'] is a prospect that should have made the Top 75 for her Class in this Update. VanDenTop is a Shooting Guard with solid size at 5'10, an efficient shooting ability, and she can score while attack off the dribble once a defender overplays her jumper. Not to mention, she is coordinated enough to switch hands and finish going toward either side of the rim offensively. This Spring she has been showing off her skill with Sanford Sports Academy out of SD. If she continues to produce like she has been moving into July, that with her mixture of athleticism is going to get her some looks at the college level moving into this Fall.

Pender High School put together a very successful season last Winter and a main reason for that was Sophomore, [player_tooltip player_id='871243' first='Madalyn' last='Dolliver']. Dolliver averaged 12.2 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 2.6 APG, 2.2 SPG while helping her team to an overall 28-1 record and she is looking to build on that moving into this upcoming season. Dolliver is someone that really does whatever her team needs. She moves all around the three point line with the ability to crash the glass hard or even screen away to open up a fellow teammate. Plain and simple, at the end of the day this group is made-up of selfless individuals that know what it takes to win. If they come back next season and focus on going 1-0 each contest, they will have a chance to replicate what they did a year ago.

[player_tooltip player_id='820515' first='McKenna' last='Powell'] of Lincoln North Star High School is one of the most interesting prospect transfers going into this next season. Powell competed as the starting two-guard for Malcolm High School for the past two seasons and now she will be competing with a North Star program that is going to look a lot different from a year ago. North Star loses their starting PG to transfer, but also brings in prospects like Powell, while still having a solid PG in [player_tooltip player_id='777563' first='Joyce' last='Johnson']. When you account for those players and take into consideration that they will still start [player_tooltip player_id='336045' first='Sarah' last='Gatwech'] and [player_tooltip player_id='756006' first='Ani' last='Leu'], you quickly see that they will still be a top team throughout the state for their Class. As for Powell, she is a knock down Shooting Guard, with a ton of upside at 5'11. If she is used in this system in the correct ways, she could EAT this next two years but we will have to wait and see how that plays out.

I'm curious where the recruiting trail is going to lead [player_tooltip player_id='757573' first='Avery' last='Kissinger'] from St. Cecilia High School at the end of the day. Kissinger comes in at only 5'6 but she is a quick handling playmaker in every possible definition of the term. She can run in transition and spread the floor with being able to score from all three offensive levels, she can facilitate off the dribble once she gets into the middle of the defense, and she is talkative to what is happening on both sides of the ball at all times. Early on in her high school career., Kissinger was offered by Wayne State to compete at the next level. By the time she gets to being a Senior, she should a handful of options as to where she might want to play. She has shown that she always shows up in her own ways throughout a contest and that's something that should translate to the next level as well.
