Fresh off a big performance at Saturday night’s Nickle Dickle three-point shooting contest in her hometown of Waconia, Eggers carried the hot hand directly into Sunday morning. The 5’9 combo guard sprinted out of the gate and seemingly remained at full volume all day long. Eggers plays fast and aggressively, bringing an alpha-dog mentality to everything she does. She attacks opportunities rather than waiting for them and combines that competitive edge with an excellent understanding of the game. Eggers is a vocal presence, plays hard at both ends and has repeatedly demonstrated strong situational awareness. Oh yeah, she can also bomb it. Already an important part of Waconia’s varsity program, the top-50 prospect in the 2029 class continues to show she’s for real.

It wasn’t long into the competition at the Freshman Showcase before Eggers’ impact on the game became glaringly obvious. A gifted athlete with an ultra-competitive nature, Hailey gives 110% effort on every single play. She’s highly aggressive on both ends of the floor, a vocal leader, and has a high basketball IQ. In late-game situations the Waconia freshman consistently aware of the clock, routinely getting her team an open look before the time runs out. Already a staple of the Waconia varsity roster, it won’t be a surprise if Eggers emerges as a leader of the young Wildcats squad this winter.
