About Claire

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a quick, explosive point guard who takes control of the game’s tempo whenever I'm on the court. I handle the ball with confidence, see plays develop before they happen, and deliver sharp, accurate passes to set my teammates up. I can score with consistent shooting, and I take pride in creating opportunities for everyone. On defense, I stay locked in, applying consistent pressure on the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a competitive, tough player who leads by example. I play smart, stay focused, and use my vision to get my teammates involved. I’m all about the team and always coachable. I bring energy, work hard, and try to make everyone around me better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of my church in Waconia, MN where I volunteer. I have also received academic achievement awards for maintaining a 4.0 G.P.A.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've served in various capacities in the community including at my church, helping to run and lead school and community basketball camps, bagging groceries and support of various charities. With these opportunities I've developed strong communication skills, empathy, leadership, effective time management, problem solving and critical thinking skills to name a few.

The Waconia freshman has gotten our attention multiple times in recent months, impressing us with her poise in the point guard position. At 5’5, Fredrickson isn’t the biggest player on the court. But what she lacks in height, she makes up for in her quickness, consistent work ethic, and well-developed understanding of the game. Each time she steps on the court Claire brings a high degree of intensity and toughness to both ends of the floor, and the left-handed shooter has a real knack for knocking down shots from long distance. She’ll play for Minnesota Stars 2029 GOLD this spring.
