Ten teams from Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma composed two five-team, 16U pools at The Battle in the Sunflower this past weekend. Kansas' Lady PGUHoops ran their four game table to finish as the only undefeated team in pool B. Below is a list of the players named to the 16U pool B all-event team. Congratulations go out to the strong play of those selected.

Sarah Hency, 5'10", C/PF, [program_tooltip program_id='715510' first='365' last='Hoops Elite'] 2026, Vinita (OK), 2026 - Hency is a terrific combination of size, strength, skill and sense. She also has great footwork. Hency knew what shot she wanted to take before reaching her target spot and called for the ball where she wanted to catch the entry pass. She anticipated what a defender would give her and exploited it with a variety of post moves, mid-range turnaround jumpers and drives with the ball. Hency showed very good handles for a big and terrific speed as well. A division II monster in the making if she adds a few more inches.

[player_tooltip player_id='634243' first='Arika' last='Feldman'], 6'1", SF/PF, Lady PGUHoops 2026, Little River (KS), 2026 - Feldman has generated a great amount of interest from colleges this summer and her play continued to show why. Long and fast with good ball skills Feldman scored well at all three levels, exploiting her height advantage frequently. Very strong in the transition game Feldman also defended quality bigs well, often tapping and knocking away entry passes and swatting shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='719106' first='Cammi' last='Unruh'], 5'8", SG, Lady PGUHoops 2026, Moundridge (KS), 2026 - Unruh was someone to watch defend. Whether on the ball or denying passes she used her length and speed to generate steals. I also liked the bounce she played with to score jumpers and layups.

Ashlyn Young, 5'8", Team Price 2026, Oklahoma Bible Academy (OK), 2026 - Team Price had a rough weekend but one of their bright spots was the perimeter shooting of Young. She consistently showed a real nice, quick catch and release jumper.

Khloe Jones, 5'4", PG, SWMO Storm 2026, Willard (MO), 2027 - Jones is a tough, scrappy point guard with good speed and quickness. She effectively used her ball skills to create two dribble move jumpers and otherwise to create space within the defense. In transition play Jones also spotted up well. One thing I especially liked was not just that she finished through contact but would attack perimeter defenders trying to bodying up and push her off the ball.

Kennidi Keller, 5'7", CG, SWMO Storm 2026, Willard (MO), 2027 - Keller showed good transition speed and handling ability at speed. Teams who did not find her gave up a bunch of great perimeter looks, something a shooter like Keller just lit up.

[player_tooltip player_id='932970' first='Alex' last='Suter-Tan'], 5'7", CG, Western [program_tooltip program_id='715643' first='Kansas' last='Elite'] 2026, Hutchinson Trinity (KS), 2026 - When I took a deep dive over my notes I realized how impactful Suter-Tan was. Strong and scrappy, she showed aggressiveness going at defenders to get shots. Suter-Tan used both hands well on finishes, knocked down the occasional three ball with range and showed ball skills including very good use of pace changing.

[player_tooltip player_id='884875' first='Sayler' last='Stapleton'], 5'4", SG, Western [program_tooltip program_id='715643' first='Kansas' last='Elite'] 2026, Meade (KS), 2027 - Stapleton, despite her release being a tick slow, was consistently good scoring on perimeter and sometimes dangerous when heated up. A pleasant surprise was the number of turnovers generated by her hand speed and quick feet.
