demonstrated her offensive firepower last season by averaging 16.4 points per game while showcasing remarkable accuracy from beyond the arc, hitting an impressive 44% of her three-point attempts and sinking a total of 45 three-pointers. With the graduation of key teammates, the team dynamics are set to change significantly, likely placing greater offensive responsibility on Cammi’s shoulders. Given her proven scoring ability and sharpshooting prowess, it’s reasonable to anticipate an increase in her points per game as she becomes a primary scoring option. Furthermore, with more opportunities to handle the ball and initiate offensive sets, her assist numbers could also see a rise as she potentially takes on a larger playmaking role for the team. Her ability to not only score but also create opportunities for others could become crucial for her team’s success in the upcoming season.

The Wildcats were left with a bad taste in their mouth after being blown out by Hillsboro in last season’s sub-state final and are gunning to lay a whuppin’ on somebody else this time. The young, deep and talented team includes Unruh, a fierce combo-guard who is a match-up problem on both ends of the floor. Fast, quick, aggressive, strong and with size she is a threat to score and find her teammates from anywhere. I saw her several times in her run of a few dozen club team games over the season and I expect not only for her to repeat on Heart of America Leagues’s first team but also climb up the 2A honors from KSHSAACovered and Sports In Kansas (second team) and KBCA (third team).
