Incoming area freshmen stepping up early

Grace SantasieroGrace Santasiero-G-(Cy Springs) already showing poise on the court, good size and does things instinctively plus she fits the profile college coaches love, a big guard that can shoot and range she has. Does a good job creating her shot off of the dribble as well as attacking the basket but her upside is what is even more attractive as she will have time to learn from the most explosive back-court in the area and one of the best in not only the state, but the country
Kaia Henry-G-(Manvel) saw her a year ago with Lake Houston and wrote this “was worth the wait, trust me on that but her upside is unlimited yet right now she’s doing HS things. She anticipates passes, she blows by defenders and she uses her athleticism to elevate over them as well. That phrase “she doesn’t realize how good she is” applies but when it clicks, she will definitely be hard to handle” well guess what, she realizes it now and she is because she’s added a nice midrange to go with everything else
Allyson FergusonRyLee Grays-P- (Village School) writers and evaluators blew her up in the JR NBA series saying what I said 3 or 4 years ago but that’s the way the nature of the beast which is what she’s showing signs of becoming. Size, strength, agility and desire and on top of all of that, she goes hard the whole game. She’s finishing very well, that includes after contact and her defense in the paint and on the perimeter is looking good. Throw in her rebounding on both ends of the court and voila
Allyson Ferguson-G-(Manvel) ironically I wrote about her a couple of months, knew her and her game looked familiar but she showed even more during the event. Long and athletic always is a good base but playing the passing lane and handling the ball, under control, the length of the court is only part of the intangibles because she attacks from everywhere and is showing a nice stop and pop that will keep getting better. She elevates over defenders and can man up the length of the court
