Well, what can I say? As I have mentioned time and time again in my articles, Tennessee girls are just built differently. Live from Louisville, KY at the National Championship, [program_tooltip program_id='713296' first='Team' last='Brandan Wright'] captured both Elite 40 and NE2K championships. Witnessing both games, I loved the energy the players played with and the crowd was electric. The girls played hard with a lot of grit, and you could tell they weren't going to be denied this opportunity.

TBW took on Always 100, a solid program from Indiana. Right from the tip, the ladies from the Volunteer state came out with a vengeance . They locked up on D, eliminated second chance opportunities, and flew around and did the little things right. Communication was at a premium as it echoed loudly. Defensive rotations took away easy buckets. You saw charges, steals that lead to transition buckets , and just kids out there having fun. Daps and hugs were given everywhere and the bench was lit as the program's other teams flooded the sideline. Talk about a fun team to watch, this squad got it done with only 7 players.

After talking to Coach Jamal Malone, he knew this would be their year. They had come up short the previous year, this time, the girls made sure to finish. They were focused. Bought into the process. Sacrificed for each other. They knew there was a bigger prize awaiting for them at the end if they played one possession at a time collectively. What they took home, a Diamond ball. The ladies who wear red and black finished on top beating Always 100 , 62-36.

Talk about threading the needle, she was hitting teammates in strides for the easy lay. Multiple times, she was getting downhill to attack to finish at the rim. This kid who committed to Tennessee Tech was tough. With the ball in her hands, her ability to facilitate was uncanny . She will look to take this momentum into the high school season and deliver some big time results for her Lady Blaze team.
