With the combination of her length, wiry strength, and athleticism, plus a versatile skillset, Claudia has always flashed really nice potential. When she can catch the ball with a little space at the elbows, she is highly effective, because she can consistently knock down the 15-footer or get to the basket for an athletic finish. She has a nose for the ball and pursues rebounds well, plus she is a versatile defender. She can guard wings, forwards, and the occasional undersized post. She has really nice small college potential as an athletic ‘4’.

When I saw Claudia during the Summer of 2024, I thought maybe she would eventually have a big impact on Columbia City’s Varsity roster, and this year as a Junior, she seemed to take off. She is a long, wiry-strong, very bouncy, active, and athletic forward. She plays with a really nice motor and a lot of energy, and she is an effective rebounder because she has a nose for the ball. Defensively, she can sit down and defend wings and some bigger guards as well. Offensively, she’s great in the mid-post, and she can drive it a little from the perimeter. I am anxious to see her again very soon.

I saw Claudia for the first time this July, and she was even better when I saw her this past Saturday. She has length, a wiry-strong, athletic frame, and she runs & jumps fairly well in most directions. She is very active around the lane, she pursues rebounds outside of her area, plus she will attack the basket off the dribble. But Saturday I saw her bury a couple of jumpers outside, and it looked smooth and comfortable. Adding that to her game should make her a real problem to defend, because she’s already an effective mid-post scorer.
