On Saturday, September 7th the PGH 250 EXPO took place at Inspire Courts in Gilbert. The 250 EXPO had a lot of fantastic performers. The talent at the event was very good and there were some very good performances. Here are the point guards who stole the spotlight. These young hoopers showed their ability to lead, create, and orchestrate on the court,

[player_tooltip player_id='992609' first='Cynthia' last='Tewksbury'] Canyon View

Cynthia showed why she is one of the more reliable point guards in the state. Even in an event like this with an open format, her steadiness still shines through. She always looked to make the right play and the right pass. She has very good court vision and made some very nice passes. This is what a state championship point guard looks like.

If I had an upside list Coleman would be near the top of it. TJ is a point guard who looks bigger than her listed height and plays like it. She used her length to get into the lane with ease. Her size allowed her to see over defenders and make some nice passes. She also defended her position well with her long arms and anticipation skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='992602' first='Mackenzie' last='Fields'] Horizon

Fields is a freshman but didn't play like it. This was my first time watching her play and I came away impressed. While she is more of a combo guard right now, I believe point guard is her long-term position. She played with a good tempo and never got out of control. She has next-level court vision and made some very impressive passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='827410' first='Savannah' last='Klodt'] Cedar Valley, UT

Klodt is a nice-looking guard prospect with skills for days. She has a good handle and makes really good passes when she gets into the teeth of the defense. She uses a good hesitation dribble to freeze her defenders, and this enables her to go by them. With her head always up, teammates knew to just run the floor, and she would find them.

[player_tooltip player_id='751708' first='Neha' last='Patel'] Paradise Valley

Patel is a cat-quick point guard who looked to attack during the entire event. She got into the lane very well and created opportunities for herself and her teammates. She displayed solid ball handling ability and good court vision from her lead guard spot.
