Addie showed why is among the list of top shooters int he state no matter what class. The shooting guard average 4-5 made 3’s in two games if not more. I lost track after the first 4 in the first game. A player that you must fight over ball screens as she can make those outside shots on top of the ball screen. What I liked was that at times she played the point guard spot wight great vision showing that she is a very versatile guard. It was a very impressive showing for Addie today.
I understand the nickname now Addi3 Van Gild3r. Exciting guard that has received several college offers over the past few months.

Two write ups at one event? When a player goes off like Van Gilder does for a second straight day, then she deserves to be spotlighted again. She capped off a 4-0 weekend for her squad by going off in their final game. With the defining moment came with back to back threes in less than 20 seconds. Complete with good natured trash talking and the swagger a smaller guard needs to show to thrive. Shooters who string together threes quickly are always worth tracking and the 918 sharpshooter is proving she is one.

Let it fly from deep with confidence in a Saturday afternoon win. Had a stretch where she strung together three makes from DEEP, with quickness. Which helped swing the game and pour it on for JYD. Shooting is always valuable and Vin Gilder appears to be very adept at that aspect. Complete with the potential to hit back breaking threes in big games.

Gilder not only did a good job creating her shot but she also created separation to get it off. Her pull-up jumper was nice, as well as her using a deceptive first step to attack the basket to score or dish. She saw the floor but watching her “catch and shoot” from deep also needs to be mentioned
