During the state tournament there is a lot of great talent on both sides of the floor. As a matter a fact, most of the top talent in the state is they’re competing in that one week. Throughout all the players I saw compete, one of the best was

. Klosterbuer is the purest shooter in the state with an act of making it rain from deep on a regular basis. She makes it seem effortless when the ball is in her hands. This was no different during the state playoffs a few weeks ago, Klosterbuer showed off some real high level offensive moves into a clean step back or pull up jumper consistently. For her college career Addison has committed to the University of South Dakota to come on and use her offensive ability to help the Coyotes have a nice overall season over the next few years. With the ability she has, I could imagine her on the floor right away in situations where they need a player who can score and score in bunches, quickly, but we will just have to wait and see.

is the shooter she was hyped up to be, trust me. I saw skill moves from her that I have not seen for anyone else this high school season. Klosterbuer, the University of South Dakota women’s basketball commit, was in her BAG at the state tournament. This includes three pointers that would be considered deep by NBA standards, a smooth and shifty handle into a step back going left, and the ability to finish going to the hoop while hitting a nice euro step or step-over move. When we talk about the best offensive players at the state tournament throughout all classes I think we can all agree she is the best shooter that the state saw a few weeks ago. I’m expecting her to make a big impact for her college program next season. She is seasoned enough as a player to see the floor right away but it’s going to take some hard work and dedication in the off-season, something I’m sure she has already been working on since the state tournament ended 2 weeks ago.

has been a great playmaker and captain to this experienced Central Lyon team. Coming into her senior season there was a lot of expectation by herself on finishing her high school career the right way and I’d say at this point she is doing just that. The U of South Dakota women’s basketball commit has shown off why she is going to be a big part of a successful program at the next level in a year. She can do it all for her position. She can score, defender, and comes with a positive attitude night in and night out. I’m excited to see if Klosterbuer and this squad will get their revenge from a season ago or if someone else will finish on top of the podium of the 2A class this season.

has the sweetest shooting stroke in the state in my opinion and it’s not close. Like I mentioned above, the other player in the race with her would be

of West Liberty who is an Iowa state commit but other than that, no one is touching Addison. She has the same shot form and stroke on every shot, no matter where her feet are located. She does such a good job knowing her balance while shooting, it’s quite impressive. If I had to make a comparison for her balance and balance alone while shooting I would bring up Klay Thompson. Every time the feet are the same and the balance is equal, creating a great look at the hoop wether it be off of a screen, dribble, or whatever else you could name. While currently committed to the University of South Dakota for ball next year it’s going to be fun to watch this group on their journey to make it to Des Moines. They are getting so close they can taste it, they just need to finish the job and win a few more games to get to the big stage.

“Addison Klosterbuer for three!” That is something that Boyden-Hull high school was tired of hearing by the end of their contest against Central Lyon on Tuesday night. Klosterbuer, the University of South Dakota women’s basketball commit and knock down shooter, scored a game high 38 points on 14/20 shooting while going 9/12 from behind the three point line. This is an impressive performance that needs to be talked about but Klosterbuer has been such a good shooter and play-maker this season that it seems like a normal stat line. Kinda of a crazy thing to think about. Friday evening they will suit up and go on the road for their next contest when they take on West Lyon. A #2 VS #15 matchup. I expect Addison to do her thing and make it rain from all over the court. I’m excited to see what she does when her team gets to the bigger stages of the playoffs and state tournament. She is a fantastic overall player, a great shooter, and a nice teammates to have on your side in a game. Her shooting ability is easy to see from just watching her play in one game and I think that is something that is going to stay constant over her career.

Central Lyon high school has started off the year at 9-0 up until this point and just got a big win over Sibley-Ocheyedan high school right before the break by a score of 48-46. After this contest they were suppose to play their biggest matchup of the year VS the #1 ranked team from the 3A class but it was postponed to a later date. So far this season this Central team has been led by U of South Dakota basketball commit

. Klosterbuer has been lighting it up as one of the best shooters in the state again by averaging over 19 PPG on 47% shooting from the field. Other than shooting the ball she does a great job of getting to the hoop if her defender over plays her jump shot and does a good job of dribbling to the middle to collapse the defense as the game progresses. It’ll be fun to see the rest of this season play out and then see what she can do at the next level. With her ability to shoot so well from all distances she is the type of player that you can plug right into a system and find some good success off of the jump.

may have the best shooting stroke in the state of Iowa high school basketball right now from deep but that’s nothing new. Coming into this season the University of South Dakota women’s basketball commit was known for letting it fly and being a very efficient three point shooter. Well, to start her senior year she is doing just that, showing off what she can do while also scoring in other ways and getting her teammates involved whenever possible. Klosterbuer and Central Lyon high school have started out this season with a 7-0 record and go into break ranked as one of the top teams in the state in the 2A class. Coming out of break they will face their hardest test of the year up until this point in the top ranked 3A team in the state in Estherville Lincoln Central high school and star guard

. This game will be a big eye opener for both sides as they will have two of the top players in the state playing in this contest and overall it’ll show the strengths and weaknesses within each program, helping them prepare better for the upcoming future competition they will face.

started off this season as planned by being one of the best shooters and offensive players in the state. The combo point/shooting guard is a gamer with high motor and a lot of motivation when she steps onto the court. She has the ability to change the game quickly with her offensive talent and shooting skill. She can play defense on any guards her size while doing a good job of helping and getting through screens. I anticipate for Central Lyon to win this match up early on this season mainly because of their varsity experience and game time they have had compared to their competition. I also expect for Klosterbuer to have another big shooting game, lighting it up from all over the floor on their way to victory.

returns for her senior year at Central Lyon High School after finishing an impressive junior campaign which ended at the state tournament. After being ranked a bit lower last year Klosterbuer sneaks into the updated Top 100 rankings at #10. She would be described as a knock down shooting guard who possesses really good form and balance when shooting. She comes off of screens low with her hands ready to shoot, doing a good job of making sure her footwork is correct on each shot and her balance is centered. The University Of South Dakota basketball commit will aim to take her team back to state for one last chance at a title. With herself, and the same core group of girls returning next season, they will be favored to win it all from the first tip of the season.

will come into her senior year as one of the best knock down shooters in the state of Iowa throughout all classes after an impressive season as a junior during the 21′-22′ year. While leading her Central Lyon Lions to the state championship game, Klosterbuer averaged 14 PPG on 42% shooting, including 39% from three, and 4.2 RPG. She also ranked as #1 in the 2A class in three pointers made on the season. The balanced shooting guard committed to the University Of South Dakota during her offseason and will look to make an instant impact as a lights out shooter once that time comes, but until then she will keep doing her thing and keep showing everyone what she is really about, having her game speak for itself. Central Lyon will have a good shot at making it back to the state tournament once again with the goal of winning it all in mind this time, if they can fit some pieces together and play good defense, they could do it but only time will tell.
