Winters had the tough task of sticking on D1 commit,
Rowan Jacobi

Jacobi

Springville | 2026
State

, when their team’s faced off on Wednesday evening and she did a remarkable job of keeping her in-check. Jacobi was very efficient going 6/9 from the field but she only registered 13 points and 12 rebounds, which is a win from a defensive perspective compared to what Jacobi has been doing all Winter long. This low scoring number helped Kee hold off Springville as a whole, leading to an upset victory. This was the only high school with a true upset within the 1A Class moving into the State Tournament. Overall they put a great plan together as a team, executed it, and now they will get to play at the Casey’s Center next week. As an individual Winters isn’t their leading scorer or rebounded but she consistently has shown up every game she has competed in this season. She leaves all effort out on the line and that’s something you have to respect. Kee will have another challenge in Round 1 to compete against the #1 rated team in the Class but if they put together another detail oriented scouting plan, who knows what might happen. We have seen crazier things.
