Above we talked about the success of Cherokee Washington High School the past few years. Well, they wouldn’t have any of this success if it wasn’t for prospects like PG/SG –

. Wolfs is a game changer at her currently Class level. She has good hand-eye coordination, she has impressive situational awareness, and the bottom line is that she always shows up when it matters. She comes ready to play and that’s what you love to see. As we say in this game, “Be ready so you don’t have to get ready.” I’m not sure of the interest that Wolfswinkel has right now but she could definitely be used by a few programs around Iowa over the next few years, if she so chooses.

, did what she does, leading all scores with 22 points on 46% shooting from the floor. These 22 came from all over on the offensive end. She made some baskets right at the bucket off the bounce, some from deep behind the three point line, and some at the free throw line (8/8). This helped Wolfswinkel demonstrate her ability to spread out the defense as an offensive threat from anywhere at any time. Looking forward and I expect C.W. to win some more games throughout these Playoffs. We excepted the main producers to step up right away this Post Season so it’s nice to see Wolfswinkel thriving as they keep things rolling.

Cherokee Washington High School is going to be a tough out for anyone once the Playoffs come around. They sit with a 9-2 record throughout their first 11 games and their usual suspects are leading the pack. Someone that is really putting together another impressive season is

at the CG spot. Wolfwinkel leads the team in PPG with 19.8 and she leads the team with APG with 3.5. She isn’t their top dawg in rebounding as she has some teammates with noteworthy size and length under the hoop but that doesn’t change the fact that she does attempt to crash the glass anytime plausible. CW has all the pieces to go really far before things are said and done this Winter. They just need to lock in and prospects like Wolfswinkel needs to continue to do their thing.

will be an asset at the college level some day. Wolfswinkel has a fairly completely game as a guard. She understands what she can do, she understands what the others around her can do, she can play as your 1 or 2 – depending on the situation, or she can become a slasher and work off of the ball. Wolfswinkel put up some numbers in general a year ago and she is back for more. She finished off her Junior season going 105-129. Another impressive number from a hooper with promise looking towards the future over the next two years.

. We mentioned Wolfswinkel recently because of the high school season she is putting together for her Sophomore year on the varsity floor. Wolfswinkel is an agile PG, that can create off the dribble and facilitate to open teammates or she can create for herself and get all the way for an open shot in almost any spot offensively. During this contest specifically, Wolfswinkel led her team in scoring with 17, along with grabbing 8 boards and 3 assists. These numbers are solid but weren’t enough to get the victory in the end sadly. Now that it’s Playoff time, it’ll be interesting to see how this group bounces back. Considering they lost to an undefeated team on a buzzer beater from three, I think they will be just fine. Both as a team and as for Wolfswinkel individually.

presents on the court is noteworthy. This isn’t a prospect that is about the flash or highlights, instead she works hard on both ends and puts up great numbers while doing so. Cherokee Washington High School does have some respectable pieces and that’s why they sit with a 11-2 record so far this Winter. A big reason for their success is prospects like Wolfswinkel. This is someone that leaders her team by example every night. If you look at an opposing team’s scouting report going into their contest against the Braves, I’m sure Addy’s name is at the top of the list for who they need to pay attention too because if not, it’s going to be tough sledding for everyone that tries to slow them down.

has taken the state by storm because of the impressive overall numbers she is putting up for her Cherokee Washington High School team. Wolfwinkle may only stand at 5’8 but she is a hustler and that has created a ton of success for herself on the hardwood. I would say her game is founded on this hard-work. She is never the player to bend over for a loose ball but more-so she is usually the one to be the first diving on the floor. Stuff like that. I haven’t had the chance to see this team compete live this season just yet but I’m going to make it a priority this last two months before the Playoffs begin. They have won most of their games and a big part of that is being of the play of Wolfwinkle. If they can stay on this trajectory, they are going to be a tough “out” during the post-season for anyone in the 3A Class.
