“There could be 2 or 3 8th graders playing up for Bettendorf this Winter. I know of one that is confirmed at this time (McCorkle) but i’m not sure about the others. Either way, I expect Addyson Engels to be apart of their master plan over the next few seasons as she gets to the Varsity level with consistent minutes on the floor. She plays with a calculated aggression and that really pays off for her on both ends. She knows when to go for risks and when not too. That’s something not everyone can do and that’s been extremely obvious throughout this event.”

Addyson Engels Addyson Engels 5'7" | SG/PG Bettendorf | 2031 IA will compete out of Bettendorf and the Quad Cities this Winter as a 8th grader. I’m not sure which team she will be on at the high school level, as they do have some players who can make things happen but over time I could see us hearing Engels name more and more as she gets older around the area. It’s never easy to compete out of the Quad Cities. It’s stacked with prospects who have a lot of love for the game and that’s only growing as the girls game expands in general. I see Engels working in her off-seasons up to this point so we know the dedication is there. She just needs to stay locked in and who knows where she might take things as we move forward.
