2026 PGH IA Expo Preview: Players Looking To Shine On Their Own

Burbridge is a coordinated baller, that understands the game at a higher level than most her age. She is fundamentally skilled on both ends of the floor and when you combined that with her smarts - you see that she could possibly play this game at the next level following her high school career. If she sticks on this path, she should be committed to some where out of the Midwest before you know it. Austin is a 5'10 CG, that moves around wherever she is needed at the Guard position. She isn't primarily set at one spot VS another. It's more-so about where she can fit in to help those around her when they might be struggling. I'm excited to see Austin at this event against some of the others. Like I've mentioned, the Guard talent in the building will be impressive so to see how everyone matches up is going to be a major key. It should be noted that Zabel made the most of her opportunities whenever she did see the court as a Sophomore. She only shot 6 offensive attempts from the floor, scoring 3 of them while going 2/3 from behind the three point line. She also recorded a rebound, assist, and steal throughout the five games that she played, which isn't bad for her limited role. This event doesn't just show us as evaluators where the players are at. WC always brings impressive talent to the floor. Both regionally out of their area and looking at the group from a state-wide perspective. Bonnet is listed as a 5'10 PF/PG. This is usually the case when you have a player that is taller and more coordinated than everyone else on their team at a younger age. I would assume that Bonnet will move into a Guard position more regularly at the high school level but you never know. Sometimes you have an undersized Forward, who can really produce and play the game so we will have to see where she places herself on the floor during this event. I'm not sure which team she will be on as they do have some players who can make things happen but over time I could see us hearing Engels name more and more as she gets older around the area. It's never easy to compete out of the Quad Cities. It's stacked with prospects who have a lot of love for the game and that's only growing as the girls game expands in general. I see Engels working in her off-seasons up to this point so we know the dedication is there. She just needs to stay locked in and who knows where she might take things as we move forward. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
