was a standout defensively, and that should carry over into her senior season.
One of King’s main strengths as a defender is her shot blocking. Her lateral footwork at her size jumps out about her game immediately. This is a huge reason that makes her such a good shot blocker. Her ability to stick with post and wing players off the dribble without fouling and not letting them get any separation. This skill of hers was on display in multiple games last season, including a game against Kingston High School. King recorded five blocks in the game.
On the offensive end of things, King is a good floor spacer with the capability to knock down threes at 5’10”.

She was a defensive juggernaut blocking multiple shot attempts. She was tough on the boards, gaining rebounds, leading to easy transitional buckets. She was dominant on the interior on both ends of the floor. Blessed with great size, this kid utilized it to her advantage. Tough finisher around the rim, putting the ball in the hole wasn’t a foreign concept to her. This kid got after it and you better believe this upcoming season she is going to bring that same energy and effort that her teammates are going to feed off of. Solid kid who has a bright future.

) that can both score inside and out. Ainsley is a high level rebounder with a level of toughness that coaches want to see. She’s highly skilled, but also highly competitive (I’ve coached her…..lol….just trust me). She can take you off the bounce, pull and rebound and start her own fast break, or knock down the three ball. She’s got all the tools to be a college player.

She’s learning she doesn’t have to score to impact winning. I watched her pull 10+ boards, and block 2 shots. She brought the ball up at times, and her skill set as a big with handles is fun to watch. Learning the how to balance forcing the issue with letting the game come to her, and I can see her IQ developing. She’s had some big scoring games…love to see her impact winning and stay locked in when she’s not getting buckets. Nice growth from King.

is undoubtedly one of the most underrated ’26s in the state. While her
ETA Thunder
(Kidd) team hasn’t played yet, she did get run this weekend with some of the Campos upper-tier teams, and my understanding is that she crushed it. She scored 52 points in 3 games. She’s a 5’11 PF that can handle like a guard, shoot the three, and actually has a few legit “go-to” post moves (very few kids actually possess go to moves on the block). I’ve got a feeling she will explode onto the scene next year at Meigs.

Meigs County has secured the #2 seed in their district, and has put together a really nice overall season. They have a nice mixture of upperclassmen with veteran experience and some youthful hoopers as well.

got going for 11 points in Thursday nights win, and I really like her overall upside as a double-double big that also stretches the floor to 3, and can attack off the bounds. Her skill set is really impressive.
