It makes sense as to why Ainsley Roberts Ainsley Roberts 5'8" | PG/SG Underwood | 2027 State IA of Underwood High School is so successful at the Varsity level with her squad. Roberts, a 5’8 PG/SG, is going to be a player that leads the Eagles once again this Winter with her coordinated offensive play, along with her scrappy defense. Roberts was more of a PG/facilitator at this event on Sunday but she also had her own moments of scoring the rock from all three offensive levels. All in all, good showing from Roberts. She does things the right way and that’s going to help her succeed this Winter as a whole with her Underwood program.

Ainsley Roberts Ainsley Roberts 5'8" | PG/SG Underwood | 2027 State IA led Underwood last Winter in scoring, while also putting up respectable numbers in the categories of assists, steals, and rebounds. As you can tell, Roberts does a lot of different things but this Winter she will be looked upon to be their leader in scoring once again. Roberts is a player of opportunity. She loves to use her smarts to outthink opponents for easy buckets, always having a trick or two up her sleeve. Defensively, she holds he own as well. She sticks within her ability an stays tight to her matchup when asked but she also understands when to step off into help-side at the same time. Underwood will win some ball games this year and when they do, I’m sure that Roberts will have a big part to do with that.

Ainsley Roberts Ainsley Roberts 5'8" | PG/SG Underwood | 2027 State IA of the 2027 Class just received an offer out of Bellevue, Nebraska. Roberts is a 5’8 PG with coordination, fundamental skill, and a lot of promise looking forward. Overall, it’s notable that Roberts can producer with little space and time on the clock. She is her team’s leader in multiple statistic categories each contest and she seems like someone that everyone else enjoys being around on the court. That might sound obvious but sometimes, players are hard to get along with even though they are talents. Not in this case though, Roberts has a great attitude and we will be seeing that at the college level sooner or later.

Ainsley Roberts Ainsley Roberts 5'8" | PG/SG Underwood | 2027 State IA will return to the Underwood Eagles Varsity roster this Winter with a lot of opportunity in front of her. Roberts will have the opportunity to take over the role of the lead producer on her team. The two others that happen to put up better numbers last season for their group were both Seniors so now it’s time for Roberts to show that this program is under her control. As a Freshman, Roberts averaged 7.5 PPG, just over 4 RPG, along with some other positive stats to help the cause. The biggest question for this group isn’t Roberts in my opinion. It’s going to be everyone else. Roberts can run the offense, create for others, and get her own when the ball is in her possession but others will have to step up and make their presence known if they want to beat some well-rounded opponents throughout their year.
