She buries triples with a balanced platform and quick release. Aizlyn slides laterally to cut off drives, keeping her arms active to cause steals, deflections, and blocks. She scans the floor to find open teammates and pushes the ball in transition. Aizlyn will be a top guard in the CHSL again as a senior and I’m excited to find out where she will be playing college ball following graduation.

Aizlyn was in the zone for Mercy at U of M Team Camp, dominating on both ends of the court. She used her length and quickness to block multiple shots in the paint without fouling, drilled many 3s from different spots on the court, converted contested finishes off the dribble, and knocked down free throws. Aizlyn showed exactly why she is a heavily recruited college prospect.

Albanese is an excellent shooter who can score even when tightly defended. Her quickness and ability to find open lanes make her a great slasher, and she consistently moves well without the ball. She also made multiple steals and converted them into coast-to-coast buckets.

Aizlyn played a phenomenal game for Mercy in their matchup with the Highlanders Friday. The game couldn’t have been closer and she played exceptional basketball against tough matchups. Aizlyn put up 19 points, making 4 three point shots. She is going to be a top prospect for Mercy to go watch throughout the winter season.

It’s no surprise that this is Albanese’s second appearance in stock risers article. She’s grabbed a lot of attention with her play since the summer. Albanese is a very solid all around athlete and can create space for her teammates with her shooting from behind the arc. I’m very impressed with her controlled and effective baseline drive.

Albanese has been making some noise, both during grassroots season and so far this high school season. She’s proven to be a dangerous 3 point shooter especially in catch and shoot situations. Albanese can shoot from the corner as well as work off the baseline. I like the way she uses a quick jump stop when she attacks the rim off the bounce.
