It was a very strong July for Lumpkin. She took the lead guard role for Legynds in Vegas and thrived during that weekend. She’s a two-way impact player, with a quick first step. And has a mindset to cause turnovers on the defensive end. Does a lot of her scoring in transition, but was also capable of getting downhill in halfcourt setting. Is building momentum for a big role on a Mustang squad that is expected to a Class 6A contender.

Fast and tough freshman guard, who made her mark when on the court. She’s quick and feisty on the ball, applying pressure in the backcourt. Had a nice score where she came off a ball screen, saw a mismatch and hit the jets. Another good score off an inbound pass. Can see Lumpkin’s influence growing throughout the year for the Lady Broncos.

One of the more impressive on the ball defenders watched last week. Moves her feet very well, understanding angles and how to make life tough for the opposition. Even swatted a shot and then quickly turned defense into offense with a good pass to her teammate. Checks a lot of boxes of an incoming freshman with good athleticism and defensive principles, giving her a chance to make an instant impact this winter.
