Alexis made history against Salem by breaking the single-season assist record, surpassing the previous mark of 169 and now sitting at 171. She capped off the night with a triple-double—10 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, and two steals—showcasing her all-around impact. Earlier this season, she also set the single-game assist record with 16 against Purdue Poly, breaking the former record of 13.

Alexis immediately stood out in the game against the Midwest Wildcats. She brought energy to the floor on defense, making strong closeouts and doing a great job keeping the ball in front of her. She then caught my eye with a smooth one-dribble pull-up jumper after a well-timed pump fake. A talented two-way guard.

Alexis was good at the PGH Freshman Showcase last Fall, she had a nice start to her career last Winter, was again good for her grassroots team all Spring & Summer, then was great earlier this month at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp. She has a great feel for the game, plus she mixes playing fast and aggressively with patience and efficiency. She averaged 5.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.0 steals as a Freshman, and I would anticipate those numbers, and Pirate wins, increase this Winter.

(below) to give their opponents headaches. Alexis is quick, fast, and feisty. She loves to push the ball up the floor quickly, and she is always scanning the floor looking for teammates. She is a true point guard and does a nice job of running the show. Defensively, she uses her quickness and instincts to cause problems, and really, as long as colleges don’t get caught up on height, she can get after it and help someone at the next level.
