Alexis has always been an entertaining little playmaker, and she was back at it again Saturday. She has gotten stronger over the years, but it’s her length, speed, and quickness that stand out. She plays fast in transition, she is learning how to change speeds better in the halfcourt, but she’s always going to play with an outstanding motor and feistiness. She was definitely looking to attack Saturday, and she was finding open teammates at the same time. She also knocked down a couple of perimeter jumpers, and she showed her grit and feistiness at the defensive end of the floor.

Alexis always seems to be a fun watch, and she’s one of those traditional point guards who doesn’t need to score to impact the game. Take, for example, the season she had for Charlestown. Alexis averaged just 6.8 points per game, but she handed out 7.5 assist per game, and she collected 6.8 caroms per game as well at her size. She has greatly improved her strength, she rarely gets bumped off her line, and she plays with good energy, speed, and quickness. She also shoots it well enough from the perimeter to keep defenses honest (34 made 3-pointers in 24 games in 2025-2026).

Alexis made history against Salem by breaking the single-season assist record, surpassing the previous mark of 169 and now sitting at 171. She capped off the night with a triple-double—10 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, and two steals—showcasing her all-around impact. Earlier this season, she also set the single-game assist record with 16 against Purdue Poly, breaking the former record of 13.

Alexis immediately stood out in the game against the Midwest Wildcats. She brought energy to the floor on defense, making strong closeouts and doing a great job keeping the ball in front of her. She then caught my eye with a smooth one-dribble pull-up jumper after a well-timed pump fake. A talented two-way guard.

Alexis was good at the PGH Freshman Showcase last Fall, she had a nice start to her career last Winter, was again good for her grassroots team all Spring & Summer, then was great earlier this month at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp. She has a great feel for the game, plus she mixes playing fast and aggressively with patience and efficiency. She averaged 5.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.0 steals as a Freshman, and I would anticipate those numbers, and Pirate wins, increase this Winter.

Alexis was tremendous yesterday, consistently making plays for her teammates. She paired well with Saniya Smith Saniya Smith 5'6" | CG Pike | 2027 State IN (below) to give their opponents headaches. Alexis is quick, fast, and feisty. She loves to push the ball up the floor quickly, and she is always scanning the floor looking for teammates. She is a true point guard and does a nice job of running the show. Defensively, she uses her quickness and instincts to cause problems, and really, as long as colleges don’t get caught up on height, she can get after it and help someone at the next level.
