Alissa Cheek is crafty with her moves to put up her shot around the arc.  She can use some jab steps losing her defender without a dribble, or she can put the ball on the court changing directions to create her own space.  She sees the floor well, too, being able to find her open teammates making adjustments to get the pass inside to them.  She plays tough on the other end of the court as well stripping the ball away from her opponents and scoring off of these turnovers.

Alissa Cheek Alissa Cheek 5'7" | SG Rosman | 2024 NC scored over 20 points per game to lead Rosman High School in 2022-2023. She made 44% of her shots from the floor. She also led her team in assists per game, steals per game, and blocked shots per game. Cheek has a quick release and a nice three-point shot. A year ago, she made over 36% of her attempts from three. Cheek is an elite player who competes on both ends of the court for the Tigers. She has already committed to play college basketball at the University of Virginia – Wise. 

Alissa Cheek Alissa Cheek 5'7" | SG Rosman | 2024 NC continues to show off her range during this live period event.  She slides into the openings and makes it count from around the arc.  Her ability to face guard a tough opponent drew an offensive foul gaining the possession for her team which was crucial late in a close game.  You can see the IQ she shows on both ends of the court with her decision making.

Alissa Cheek Alissa Cheek 5'7" | SG Rosman | 2024 NC knows how to make effective cuts down the lane looking for the pass and opportunity to score.  She can attack the paint herself with her handles making some nice adjustments at the rim to score her points.  There’s certainly a reason she averaged over 20 points a game this past high school season.  She uses her quickness to lose her defender and get to the open spot around the perimeter to knock down her shot.

Alissa Cheek Alissa Cheek 5'7" | SG Rosman | 2024 NC knocked down her shot from deep on multiple occasions as she was certainly setting the nets on fire.  She handles the ball well pushing the tempo up the court finding her open teammates for some fast breaks.  Her ability to anticipate passes on defense led to some turnovers and points for her team on the other end.
