Murray consistently stretches the floor offensively while also impacting the game defensively with active hands and strong anticipation in passing lanes. Her ability to create scoring opportunities while generating transition opportunities off steals provided balance to Centreville’s lineup.

Star guard Malia Siriwardene Malia Siriwardene 5'8" | PG/SG Centreville | 2026 State VA was pretty much shut down by Oakton’s defense. That forced the other Centreville star guard, Aliza Murray Aliza Murray 5'5" | CG Centreville | 2026 State VA , to step up her game, and that’s what she did. Aliza hit a number of threes with deep range and was the only player consistently creating looks for both herself and her team. She had a few nice mid ranges, one of them being an and 1 that forced this game into overtime.

Murray is a confident perimeter shooter who must be accounted for at all times. She squares up cleanly on the catch and gets her shot off quickly, showing preparation and repetition in her mechanics. Beyond shooting, she impacts the game defensively with active hands, denying passes and turning steals into coast-to-coast transition opportunities. She competes for loose balls and plays with noticeable edge. Her ability to stretch the floor with applying defensive pressure adds balance to Centreville’s attack.

Aliza is looking more dynamic guard who has made the move back to public school. She is capable of playing both guard spots at a high level as her overall scoring ability has gotten better. She is now more of a scoring point guard than shooting guard; she eclipsed he 1000 point mark this season. A crafty guard who creates scoring opportunities for herself and is capable of setting up her teammates.

Had a strong season last year with Virginia Academy. This year she will finish off her high school career at Centerville high school. A very consistent skilled guard that plays at a high level as a point guard but has combo guard skills. Aliza has definitely put in the work and now she finds herself headed to Maryland Eastern-shore university.

Is a point guard who handles the ball well under pressure and effectively creates shots for both herself and those around her. She plays with great pace and is always looking to make the right play. Sees the floor well and  when handling the ball. She scores it from multiple areas and is a very active at the defensive end!

Aliza Murray Aliza Murray 5'5" | CG Centreville | 2026 State VA is a complete player and a true PG. Aliza is a terrific ball handler and knocks down threes. Aliza puts pressure on defenses with her ability to get to the rim, and she is a true three-level scorer and an elite passer. Aliza was a first-team all-state selection in the VISAA. 

Aliza is the ultimate “do-it-all” point guard and a true standout on the court. She’s aggressive and has tight ball-handling skills that keep defenders on their toes. In her game on 2/18/25, she scored 19 points and dished out 10 assists in a dominant 70-41 win. Just a few days later, on 2/21/25, she had 14 points and 6 assists in a blowout 81-19 victory during the NVIAC Invitational Championship.
