There is so much basketball talent in Oklahoma and we are only a few days from the tip-off of high school basketball practice. I can’t wait and I know there are coaches all over the state who are chomping at the bit to get back in the gym with their athletes. In the meantime, here are five more who are going to be more than ready when the doors open back up to their practice courts.
We all have those stories from growing up of that one kid that would just cook people, that did not look like they could. You pick who you’ve got out there on the court and everybody waits for somebody to say “I’ve got ball” because they don’t want to be the one attempting to guard them. Welp, that’s Raegan. What made it even more fun in this, sort of, pick-up game environment, is that she doesn’t at all look like she’s going to do what she is about to do to you. She looks so sweet and nice. I mean, she actually is. But, she’s still going to absolutely demoralize you with her handles while raining threes in your face. She’s going to rack up the steals and pretty much just take over the game while you watch. But, hey, at least because you’ve “got ball,” you get a front row seat to see Raegan cook.
Janaiya Fisher
Janaiya Fisher
A while back I had written about Janaiya based entirely on watching video. I did mention that I couldn’t wait to get down to Lawton and see her in person this season. Well, I didn’t have to wait that long. At the PGH Top 250, she came out and did exactly what was expected of her and turned pretty much every head in the building. She helped lead her team to an undefeated record on the day with her incredible vision from the point guard spot. She dished the ball to open teammate after open teammate. She used her dribble drive to slice and dice the defense and rack up the points. Janaiya has great handles, but more than that she has a great change of pace to keep everyone off balance. It’s easy to play one speed all the time. The trick is to play multiple speeds on the same possession. Janaiya has that down. It became clear throughout the day that she is a big time prospect!
I was telling a college coach in attendance on Sunday that there is something in the water down in Lawton that makes the players at MacArthur and Eisenhower just a different kind of tough. Maybe it’s just Lawton being an Army town? Whatever the reason is, I’ve gotta get down there for Mac and Ike this season! Alysa is a strong defender who is built to take the punishment down in the paint. She is a dawg in the best possible way. She racked up the boards, putbacks, steals, and blocks. She knows her role and does it tremendously. Mack also showed the ability to step out and hit from midrange which is going to be tremendously important at the college level. She has the speed and agility to transition between the three and four and the college coach who knows how to utilize her diverse skill set is going to be very happy they have her.

Yesterday we talked about this showcase being absolutely loaded with 2026’s and how the class, as a whole, is loaded in the state of Oklahoma. Well, let’s not forget Brooklynn, a player who already holds multiple offers as a Sophomore. It is clear when you see her play that she is well-coached and trains hard. She doesn’t get sped up when she has the ball and makes good decisions. She pulls down the rebound (which she does a lot) and is immediately eyes up court looking to push it. She doesn’t need a guard to give it to. Brooklynn is basically positionless at that point. She may have been working in the paint to defend their post player and secure the rebound, but she can just as easily transition into bringing the ball up court and dishing sweet one-handed passes to the backdoor cutter. She is a modern basketball player, pure and simple, and she is another big-time prospect in the class of 2026!

I’ve seen Brooke perform a few times recently at the I-35 and now here at the PGH Top-250 and both times I’ve come away very impressed with how much she has improved as a Point Guard. She is a supremely confident ball-handler who doesn’t get flustered by any double teams or traps. She is experienced and it shows in her confident play. Her calmness rubs off on her teammates, even in this temporary team setting, and it makes a huge difference for everyone involved. The fact that she is seeing the play two passes ahead in this “pick-up” game situation says a lot for her basketball IQ and I think she is poised for a massive high school season. She can shoot the three and do the other things that are asked of her, like defending, but where Brooke will really make her money is as a true number one. She is on a whole different level when it comes to running a team.
