Causey really brings her lunch pail to work at times. Alyssa plays extremely hard and has no problems battling inside the paint. She can step out for the short jumper from time to time. Causey will jump on the deck for a loose ball. She certainly brings a lot of effort to the floor night in and night out.

It is not how one starts, but how one finishes. That is one of the oldest maxims in not only sports, but in life. Sports-wise, Causey lived up to that idiom on Saturday afternoon when her Lowcountry Premier Ballers matched up against Team Mid-Atlantic Legacy out of Maryland. Causey finished with 10 points and eight of those points were placed on the scoreboard in the second half when Lowcountry Premier Ballers 17U was in the throes of a come-from-behind effort. Rebounding, calling for the ball and drawing contact to find her way to the free throw line are among the strong suits of her game.

Alyssa is not flashy at all with her play. She plays the game to the fullest and does what she’s told to do on the floor. Causey was able to score a few baskets around the cup on second chance efforts and just staying active.
Alyssa should see more playing time this season in the front court for the Lady Warriors.
