Amani was another guard that showed off her ability to play the game at ease. She was spinning and slashing through multiple defenders in the half court to get to the rim and finish with two points. She was also pushing the ball hard in transition with long passes to her teammates advancing up the floor. Bridges showed that she can score from all three levels and is going to be a force to reckon with for the next three years at the high school level.

Bridges also brought a standout performance with toughness and physicality, particularly on the defensive end in transition. She was a standout in creating turnovers, using quick hands to generate steals that led to easy scoring opportunities. Not to mention a few steals that lad into transition, fully guarded and she still finished at the rim no problem. Bridges showed the ability to absorb contact and still convert plays. Her hustle and energy were consistent throughout, impacting multiple possessions throughout the game. She also contributed on the boards, fighting for every rebound in traffic. Defensively, she set the tone with her intensity. Bridges two-way impact made her one of the most disruptive players every time she was on the floor.

Until Fire Ball Basketball Academy 15U ran into the buzzsaw that is Charlotte Dream Elite 14U, Bridges’ team appeared like the toughest in the 15U field to defeat – in large part because of Bridges. Even though her team was on the wrong end of Sunday’s final 15U contest, Bridges still paced her team with 22 points. Bridges is a ferocious and fearless rim attacker that knows how find attacking lanes to the rim against virtually any defense. She has no issues drawing contact to get to the free throw line and shots that appear tough end up falling for Bridges.

Bridges can be a team’s bridge to a winning future. She was one of the featured players in the first 15U contest of the weekend’s play as Fire Ball Basketball Academy 15U put together a dominant outing at the expense of Carolina Smoke 15U. When Bridges has the ball behind the 3-point arc, she is very likely to take – and make – said try from distance. Bridges also displays superb ball handling skills and can get crafty with those handles in an effort to either find an open teammate or attack the basket. She was another who had a breakout freshman season, averaging 22.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.2 steals last season at 8A Athens Drive.

did well attacking the basket and scoring in transition. She didn’t back down from contact even getting some old fashioned three point plays by weaving her way around her opponents. She used some nice ball fakes getting to the rim and making it count. She found her open teammates hitting them with some nice passes to continue the offensive set.
