Even though Clark-Lamelle’s 4A Greer team finished on the receiving end of a 48-46 decision to another tough 4A out in Bluffton, her Yellow Jackets displayed why any conversation of top 4A teams should include her team. Clark-Lamelle finished with 18 points. Her play was key in getting Greer back in the game during occasions when it appeared the contest would tilt in the Bobcats’ favor. Ball handling, ball distribution and the ability to score at all three levels are all strong points to her game that made Clark-Lamelle someone that Limestone – the school she committed to – had on its radar.

Clark-Lamelle is certainly never going to be the tallest player on the floor. Amiyah picked up an offer this summer from Belmont-Abbey College (NC) – NCAA D2. Surely don’t let the size scare you of Clark-Lamelle.

And it is fitting that a Clark (Lamelle) compliments a Lewis. Prep Girls Hoops saw Clark-Lamelle earlier during the offseason at a camp hosted by coach Alaura Sharp at Presbyterian back in June. She has also participated in her grassroots basketball with Lady Royals 16U. Clark-Lamelle may be only 5-foot-2 but one can catch one glimpse of her on the court and immediately think floor general. She maintains a high level of activity on the court and can throw many a defense for a loop. She regularly will set up her team in halfcourt offensive sets and possesses rim attacking capabilities. A 3-point shot is another element to her offensive game.

Another major reason why the wins have piled up for the Yellow Jackets, Clark-Lamelle’s spring and summer included time on the grassroots circuit with Lady Royals 16U. Her high school team was at the Presbyterian Team Camp in June. Clark-Lamelle personifies what it means to be a floor general. As she consistently sets up her team’s offense in halfcourt sets, she will also attack the rim and convert on layups near the basket. Clark-Lamelle is an accurate 3-point shooter and can convert on floater attempts. She stays very active on the court and that can throw defenses for a loop.
