Duncan has a great knack to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. She will drop the floater from time to time when she’s not connecting on jumpers from the perimeter. Andrea at times seems to be at best when attacking the baseline and slashing to the cup.
Andrea makes things go for the Class 4A Lady Trojans down at James Island. Duncan doesn’t play on the big Grassroots Circuit with a shoe team at all. Andrea ran with a Charleston based team in S.H.O.T.S. United.
Yarde is a WINNER period. She has helped the Lady Eagles win 4 straight SCISA State Championships while being on the roster. Devon understands on how to play as a lead guard from out top. She will facilitate the ball around the floor and play as a pass first guard.
Devon never takes a playoff while on the court. She constantly plays the game in HUSTLE mode. Devon will jump on the deck for a 50/50 ball, take a charge or simply making a winning play. She brings very solid academics to the table along with a great attitude for the game. Yarde has run on the Grassroots Circuit over the years with the same local based team.
Carter led the way last season for the Lady Bulldogs in helping them win a Class 3A State Championship. Zyasia sets the table for her team with her ability to penetrate-kick into the gaps. Carter has the ability to knockdown open shots when given the opportunity from 15-17 feet.
Zyasia had a good Grassroots season with her squad this spring and summer. Carter makes the engine go for the Lady Bulldogs with her play from out top. Can the Lady Bulldogs behind Joyce Edwards Joyce Edwards 6’3″ | PF Camden | 2024 State SC #1 2024 Palmetto State Player make it back-to-back?
Sanders plays the game like a pit bull at times and never looks to crack a smile. Keziyah has logged plenty of minutes over the years for the Lady Gamecocks at the Class 5A level. She won’t hesitate for a second to jump on the deck for a loose ball, take a charge or simply make a winning play. Sanders is constantly determined to win at all costs and plays like that with a very competitive edge on the floor at all times.
Can the Lady Gamecocks make a run in the Lower State this season?
Mintz is back to guide the ship for the Lady War Eagles. Jordan really does a nice job of keeping the ball low to the deck. She likes to use the floater on the way to the cup at times to score the ball.
Jordan is a shifty ball-handler with her ability to drop a crossover over move on a defender. She does a nice job of changing directions on the way to the cup.
Will the Lady War Eagles and Head Coach Brandon Wallace repeat in Class 2A this coming season?
Byrd was not in attendance anywhere this summer on the Grassroots Circuit or for the Lady Chargers. Byrd started off her career at Lucy Beckham HS before coming up to Summerville to attend Northwood Academy. Virginia a combo guard should pair up nicely this season with Alayah Birch and Morgan Jones Morgan Jones 5’6″ | SG Northwood Academy | 2024 State SC in the Lady Chargers backcourt.
Virginia can slash the ball to the basket or simply pull-up for a jumper. Simply enough Virginia and the Lady Chargers need to stay together to make a strong run in SCISA Class 4A this season.
Taylor has had a solid career for the Lady Bulldogs over the years and Head Coach Chasen Redd. Taylor usually stays off the grid in the summer. Ahminah brings an aggressive style of play to the floor with her pesky defensive skills.

Clark-Lamelle is certainly never going to be the tallest player on the floor. Amiyah picked up an offer this summer from Belmont-Abbey College (NC) – NCAA D2. Surely don’t let the size scare you of Clark-Lamelle.
Amiyah has the ability to knockdown open shots and always seems to be around the ball to make a play. She understands on how to find her teammates on the floor with her crisp passing skills and court awareness.
Ford isn’t a household in a lot of circles here in the Palmetto State. How many schools have seen this young lady from the tiny Class 1A program in Dillon County? Jaleya plays great in the passing lanes with her active hands while picking up plenty of steals heading the other direction.
Ford constantly plays aggressive from out top and seems to be more of a pass first guard. She looks to tuhe corner and race by defenders to the cup. The Lady Wild Gators have had some good runs over the years but usually run into a very stubborn and talented Military Magnet program along the way.
Can the Wild Gators be the team to beat in the Class 1A Lower State this season?
