I liked how much Lee competed on the defensive end this afternoon. She played with a handful of other ball-dominant players and slotted into an off-ball role comfortably. She didn’t try to force anything offensively, but did pick her spots to attack the basket. However, her ability to slide her feet laterally on the perimeter and physically handle players at the varsity level will make her an intriguing defensive prospect.

The future Dominican Knight will be a player her teammates love playing with. Lee has a big personality and is comfortable being herself, even around people she may not have met before. I also loved how hard she competed and how she took every drill rep at game speed. I loved her energy from the second she set foot in camp to the end.

Lets talk about defensive minded guards for a second… first name that comes to mind is Ma’Riah Lee. She comes equipped with a solid offensive skill set, but when you watch her play, its clear that defense is her game. She’s the type of player who keeps opposing offenses on their toes all game long. This weekend she should have plenty of spectators on notice as she suits up for Team Herro .
