If the length and height are there, but the skillset isn’t dominant.. most bigs aren’t given the credit. Manthy has the length, height, the shooting touch too potentially be a serious problem in Illinois. On the low block, you see flashes of what Annika could truly be, and then when she gets to the free throw line, and you see how smooth her form is, you can only think of great stretch 4/5s who are in college that Annika could mirror. Kitts and Brink come to mind, especially if the off the court work stays consistent.

With the obvious progression over the summer and a huge ranking leap to spot 42, Its’s clear Annika has increased her skillset. Already a proven defensive paint presence, going into this year Manthy will be a focal point on the offensive side as well. Her length, mobility and continued work with the skill of putting the ball on the floor… Hersey will be a tough team to score on and defend because of the length of their top talent.

A lengthy post player who can leave her mark on both ends of the floor. Manthy is agile and aware especially, when it comes to rebounding. She can grab boards at a high clip on both sides. She can stop a possession or start a new one with her size. She score around the rim, or a couple feet out. As she continues to add and extend to her game her stock will rise, and the upside will be clear.
