There aren’t many kids in this state with the tenacity, aggression, and passion that Ariella has. In both games, she faced double teams, even triple teams, and still found a way to put the team on her back to bring home a state title. An amazing way to cap off her senior season.

There aren’t many players in the state who play with as much passion and aggression as Ariella. She’s relentless, able to get to any spot on the court, and when she does, you can usually count it. Easily one of my favorite players to watch, Ariella gives 100% every time she laces up.

Henigan is still one of, if not the most aggressive scoring guard in the state. This year, Ariella could bring a different style to her play, with the program adding a couple more key pieces. The scoring might drop, but those assists and steals will for sure increase.

Henigan’s ability to hunt mismatches and get to the midrange is key for the next level. Being able to operate in the middle of the court allows her to dictate the pace and flow of an offense, forcing the defense to overthink each of their rotations. She excels at breaking down defenders and creating scoring opportunities from the arc, elbow and at the rim. Henigan is one of the most aggressive guards you’ll come across—a player you have to strap up against, but a teammate you’d love to strap up with.

Tough as they come. Henigan has the ability to score from all levels and it’s been that way for many years, but her defense has shown tremendous growth over the past couple of seasons. She welcomes the challenge. Skillset wise you wont find a better midrange guard in the state in my opinion, however it’s her tenacity and mental approach to the game that coaches should want to key in on. She will run thorough a wall for her teammates and her coaches, and even though the emotion is visible when she plays.. you can tell its all passion.

There is no better midrange scorer in this class, let alone the state than Ariella. Behind the arc or to the rim, she’s a tough guard. Securing some big offers over the past couple months, Henigan has been on the trend upwards since the beginning of the year and she hasn’t slowed down. M14 is building a roster that can compete with any team regardless of the circuit.. and she will be a huge part of it.

showed off her elite basketball abilities at the Michigan Hardwood Classic Saturday. Against one of Michigan’s best teams, she had an outstanding game for Kenwood. Ariella finished many difficult floaters and drives inside using both hands; she caused havoc defensively with steals and transition buckets. Ariella showed why she is a top guard in Illinois, finishing the game with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.

In each game Henigan showed why she was the definite MVP of the day. From the way she got to the basket with multiple speeds, her vision when she made plays and her shot selection was aggressive but efficient at all levels. She found multiple ways to tear up the defense, while still being intense and disciplined on the defensive end. Tremendous upside.

The midrange game is not utilized enough in todays game.. but Ariella has that area down to a T. The pull up is perfect, the aggression and concentration to get to her spots is evident too. She plays the game to win, and her energy is there from start to finish. Defensively.. the intensity is there. She takes on the challenge to defend whoever needs to be stopped. A true all around combo guard that can stuff the box in all categories. Major potential and upside.
