Byron Xerxes Livsey | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
A do-it-all type of prospect who can be a threat no matter what position you use her in. Thomas has the grit, relentlessness, and motor to score double digits off pure hustle. With Kenwood having a chance to go deep into the IHSA playoffs, Thomas’s energy will be key.

A player who hasn’t scratched the ceiling of her potential. Thomas adds immediate impact when she’s on the floor. On both sides of the court she shows awareness, especially when securing boards. She has a consistent shooting from with a quick release to go with it.

Praises for her work ethic has started in Indiana, and that mind state has remained as she begins her junior season in Illinois. The Kenwood transfer has all the intangibles to be a key piece in the programs Road to State. Thomas has the strength, the motor, and an outside shot that will translate at the collegiate level. A huge addition to this Class.

Icesis had the opportunity to play “up” with the 17U Gym Rats EYBL team this past weekend, and I felt like she did a solid job of simply being herself. She is a tough-nosed, high-motor, always-in-the-action type of kid. She outrebounds her opponents, she’s effortful defensively, plus she is starting to figure out how to score it more consistently from multiple levels. Icesis has really nice length, strength, and she plays with physicality. She actually looks a little leaner, more fluid, and all-around more explosive than she did last Spring. If she can continue to improve her shooting and consistently extend it to the perimeter, plus get her handle just a bit more dynamic, she has a chance to be a real standout in Indiana’s 2025 class.

Icesis is a combo forward, so she can play inside or out. One thing’s for sure, though, and that’s the fact not many girls in this class are going to (1) play harder, or (2) play tougher/more physical than her. She is very strong, athletic, and extremely active. She has a real bulldog mentality, is always on attack, and is highly productive. She has a nose for the ball, can rebound anything, but she’ll also push it up the floor and attack the basket with aggression. Additionally, she is a versatile and effortful defender. She has some similarities to Destini Craig.
