Expert Analysis

Skelton can be a top 20 prospect in this class very soon, and the foundation is already in place to get there. The length and frame are the first thing that jumps out at you, and though the skill set is still growing and aligning with that frame, there are many moments where she’s showing that type of potential she has, with and without the ball. Defensively, she will always have a big impact. Paint blanket due to her length and energy, and can deal with perimeter players because of her recovery steps and speed.

The Prospect program has had a strong start to the season, and the young talent on the program have had a part in that. Skelton has all the intangibles to be a notable prospect over the next couple of years. One of her main skills is her energy, and when you align that with her length, you’re getting a player who can be a legitimate two way threat. Strong potential.

A lengthy wing who does most of her work on the defensive side of the ball. She’s a paint blanket and can slide out to the perimeter and guard those players as well. Offensively, her hook shot is her go-to. Strong potential.

Skelton has the length and versatility to become a solid prospect over the next couple of years, but even now, her lack of fear allows her to be impactful in a multitude of ways, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, there’s room for growth, but she’s aggressive and she doesn’t quit, and that usually can determine the outcome of a game.

A lengthy guard with the size to compete against multiple positions. Ashley has had several moments early in this AAU season where she stood out more than anyone else on the court.

Skelton is probably done growing, and if she isn’t, her upside is huge. She showed on multiple possessions that she can hang with the stronger players, and she hit some crucial shots down the wire that displayed poise. If the outside work is there, Ashley can be a key piece to the Prospects basketball program over the next couple years.

Long and wiery baller with a good wingspan. She did a good job defending the inbound with her length. Also can be an effective defender, able to come up with deflections. Ashley also has good court vision. Another one who can use the summer to prepare herself for her freshman season.
